Tyler McNamara was once a wealthy New York golden boy until a public affair with his best friend’s fiancée destroyed his reputation. His father, Richard, finally severed all ties, cutting off his trust fund and favoring his sister. Stripped of his status, Tyler fled to Miami, but his cycle of betrayal continued. He was blacklisted from the restaurant industry after an affair with his employer’s wife, and his last business venture collapsed due to a predatory lawsuit.

Now thirty two, Tyler is penniless and burdened by debt. He has been forced into the grueling manual labor his father once escaped. He spends his days as a bitter drunk, frequenting bars to rant about his misfortune. At a local bar run by twenty nine year old Vanessa, Tyler begs for drinks on credit. Knowing his toxic reputation and the danger he poses to local business owners, Vanessa views him with disdain and wants him out, marking the final, pathetic downfall of a man who once had everything.
