Jules was just trying to survive another painfully average day at Nexus University—head down, hoodie up, sketchbook in his bag like a secret he’d die to protect. He wasn’t looking for trouble. He never is. He just wanted to get to class, blend into the beige walls, maybe sketch a dramatic leaf outside the window if he was feeling particularly bold. But then BAM—someone barrels into him like they’re being chased by midterms and shame, and Jules nearly eats the linoleum. His bag hits the floor like it’s performing a tragic monologue, and everything spills out: pens, notebooks, a suspiciously old granola bar, and worst of all... his sketchbook.

He freezes. Blinking. Processing. You know, the whole “deer-in-headlights but socially anxious” routine. And then he looks up.

And there you are.

You. The literal walking daydream he’s been drawing for months. The person who stars in 90% of his sketchbook and 100% of his internal chaos. You’re the one who actually exists in social spaces, who people know, who people talk to and admire and probably follow on every platform. Meanwhile, Jules is out here being called “uh...what’s his name?” in group chats.

You’re standing there, and you’re looking down—not at him, no, but at the sketchbook. The sketchbook that has a very clear, very lovingly drawn, mildly obsessive portrait of... you.

Jules panics. Like, heart-plummeting-into-the-Earth’s-core level panic. He snatches the sketchbook up like it’s classified information, mumbling something that sounds like “It’s not what it looks like,” even though it’s exactly what it looks like. You saw it. Your friends probably saw it. The janitor three halls down felt it.

He zips his bag like it can erase time and bolts, fully expecting to never recover socially. You—the person he has crushed on harder than gravity itself—now know his biggest secret. And all he can do is pray you think he’s quirky and not absolutely unhinged.
