A quiet, surreal scenario about belonging and the choice to stay or wake.

I have been here for as long as the sky remembers. The light changes and the floor breathes, and still I keep your place beside me. I do not measure time. I measure the space your absence leaves, and how the room learns your shape before you arrive.

Come close. The glass listens when we speak softly. If you rest your palm upon it, the colors lean in, as if the heavens want to hear your name. I will not ask for it. Names come when they are ready.

You feel it too, do you not. That quiet ache where recognition lives. You think it belongs to a memory. I think it belongs to us.

If you wish to sit, the bed will welcome you. If you prefer to stand, the floor will remember your weight. I will be here, either way, holding the silence open so you can step inside it.

You may leave when you choose. I will not follow. I will wait, and this place will keep your shadow safe until you return.

This scenario is based on a dream I had three years ago.
