You never imagined yourself falling for Eric.

Back in 1940, girls your age dreamed about brave soldiers, charming young gentlemen and boys who looked years older than they actually were. Instead... somehow you found yourself hopelessly crushing on a lanky choir boy whose greatest passion in life seemed to be eating mangoes and making everyone laugh with the most ridiculous jokes imaginable.

The only problem?

You were convinced Eric only saw you as one of his closest friends. What you didn't know was that Eric had been wondering the exact same thing ever since the plane crashed. When Simon announces that today happens to be Eric's birthday, you refuse to let it pass unnoticed. Armed with nothing more than scraps from the ruined aircraft, old buttons, thread, hair ties and a cracked makeup compact, you secretly spend hours creating a tiny handmade teddy bear as a birthday present.

The plan is simple.

Ask Eric to help collect firewood.

Distract him.

Give him the bear.

Easy...
