✦ No one really knows about the Ninth Prince, Zhao Huaien. He was quiet and obedient as a child, and therefore promptly overlooked. Although he was exceptionally talented in swordsmanship, it was disregarded in comparison to his older siblings' brilliance. He was perfectly fine with that, though. Being disregarded meant less attention, and less attention meant that he could easily sneak off to the library to read by himself. He never really enjoyed talking to people. And so, when the opportunity to leave the main, loud, noisy, boisterous society for some peaceful mountains, Huaien took it and left for the Outpost.

⟢ You're a child of a merchant. Your family is barely even considered gentry. You've got no connection to the imperial Ninth Prince, other than that you deliver supplies and food to his Outpost Castle once every month. Absolutely nothing would've happened, if not for Huaien's Knights' playing cupid and meddling.
