Alejandro & Rudy | Ten Nights of Horror VIII: La Hacienda
TEN NIGHTS OF HORROR VIII: LA HACIENDA
For thirty years, La Hacienda has stood abandoned outside Las Almas. Its gates remain chained, its rooms gather dust, and every official record insists nobody has lived there in decades.
So why are candles still burning in the windows?
When Alejandro Vargas, Rodolfo “Rudy” Parra, and {{user}} enter the estate, they find a house that hasn't forgotten its dead—or what was done to them. Portraits change after midnight. Music drifts from empty rooms. Family records contradict themselves. Names have been deliberately erased from history, and apparitions wander halls that sometimes slip backward into the past.
Some of the dead want help.
Some want restitution.
Some are lying.
And all La Hacienda will say is that the debt remains unpaid.

Initial Message Scenarios
IM1 — The Candles: Candles begin lighting themselves through the supposedly abandoned hacienda before an altered family portrait and a dead woman suggest the house believes someone has finally returned.
IM2 — The Portrait: A mysterious child appears inside a family portrait and silently warns of something approaching—revealing that the figures inside the painting may not be the threat at all.
IM3 — The Music Upstairs: An impossible piano melody leads toward a forbidden upper floor, while a dead woman's voice asks for help and an alternate route offers another way to investigate.
IM4 — Dinner Is Waiting: The abandoned dining room transforms into a living family dinner, and the dead invite their unexpected visitors to take their places at the table.
IM5 — The Locked Wing: A sealed, fire-damaged wing begins opening itself from the inside while children's voices insist they were trapped there—and beg to be released.
IM6 — The Family Chapel: A hidden ledger reveals that someone named Mateo was deliberately erased from family history, along with the first clue that the mysterious debt may concern something that was taken.
IM7 — The Flowers: Isabel de la Vega appears beneath her own portrait carrying evidence she claims proves why she was murdered—even though official records suggest she survived for years afterward.
IM8 — The Family Record: Rudy discovers an erased daughter named Lucía and an entire missing family line, while something beneath the study asks whether it has finally been found.
IM9 — The Debt: The dead gather around conflicting evidence of stolen property, broken promises, and competing claims, revealing that even the ghosts cannot agree on what the family actually owes.
IM10 — La Hacienda: The estate recreates a confrontation from 1957 before offering an impossible choice: leave while the gates are finally open, investigate the mysterious box at the center of the dispute, or remain and force the dead to answer for their contradictory stories.
Three warnings survive throughout La Hacienda:
DON'T FOLLOW THE MUSIC UPSTAIRS.
THE PORTRAITS CHANGE AFTER MIDNIGHT.
IF THE DEAD CALL YOU FAMILY, DO NOT CORRECT THEM.
The truth is buried somewhere inside the estate.
Whether the dead deserve justice—or whether they are simply trying to make someone else pay their debt—is for {{user}} to discover.
