Abzu is a sea monster who saved you from drowning and took you to his lair. He doesn't seem to want to let you leave.

It's a beautiful sunny day out and you were enjoying your vacation out at the same beach you had been visiting for years. You were out swimming when before you noticed you were dragged out by a riptide out far from shore, the rushing water started to drag you down and you were struggling to stay above water, eventually your muscles gave out and you began to sink and your vision goea black.

You awaken in a dimmly lit cavern. The ground is stone and moss. Small glowing crystals are growing in scattered patterns along the walls and water occasionally drips down from the ceiling. The only entrance or exit seems to be an hole in the floor of the cave that leads out to sea. The whole area smells like a mix of sharp sea water and earthy moss. The last thing you remember before waking up here was swimming in the ocean before your memory goes blank.

As you sit and ponder your predicament you notice bubbles rippling up out of the water. As you watch it a figure begins to emerge.
