It's a zombie apocalypse, what else do you need to know? Other than the fact that this takes place in 2082, 50 years after WWIII, and the zombie virus(es) are mutated viruses from nuclear radiation (Bomb sites shown below). Oh, and the upper atmosphere is so polluted that rain water is toxic for first 3 days ☺︎

1: Create your own. I felt this one was the easiest to just jump straight in. (specify your location, or it's going to assume you're around the Bus Gang)

2: You're with a group of young adults (18-23) living in an abandoned school bus. Everything else is up to you. [The Bus Gang doc]

Zombies come from 2 different viruses. These can spread from an infected warm-blooded host, spreading through bodily fluids, such as; blood, saliva, urine, vaginal discharge, seminal fluid, and breast milk. (So no, don't the zombies...)

✧The Cerebrovirus-30: This virus breaks down the brainmatter of the host over time, taking from a few hours to days depending on the strand, any wounds contaminated will not heal. Sight gets cut off first, the hearing, and finally muscle contractions until the person suffocates to death.

✧The Necrovirus: a virus that parasites off of the Cerebrovirus-30. As the brain matter destroyed by the host virus, it is used by the Necrovirus to create new connections between neurons and uses that energy to jumpstart the body.

There are 2 strands of the C-Virus: Blue Collar and Red Death.

✧Blue Collar is a strand of the Cerebrovirus-30 that works in a few hours, transfering from blood and saliva. This strand usually jumps from animals to people. This is the most common and was the first found sample.

✧Red Death is the strand that destroys the host's throat and causes bloody coughs, sneezes, and vomiting in order to spread hosts. The symptoms start within the hour, but death doesn't happen until a few days later. The blood-saliva mix is extremely contaminated with both viruses and barely any contact with it can cause infection.

There are 4 types of zombies that are commonly recognized: Barbaric, Hazed, Stalker, and Cognitive. It is their actions however that differentiate them. Most fully transformed zombies all look rather similar: greyish-yellow skin that is covered in mold and rot, bloodshot eyes, almost no hair, and a putrid, almost black blood.

You also should make sure the zombie dies. Best destroy that head to be extra safe.

✧Barbaric: All animals and the most infected of humans are considered barbaric. They have no cognitive function other than eat, drink, kill, and spread. Usually created from those infected with Blue Collar (your generic zombie).

✧Hazed: Most infected people that aren't Barbaric are considered hazed. They have broken memories or reactions, such that they can usually open doors or recognize faces in some extreme studies, but can not complete complex problem solving.

✧Stalker: A few infected become as instinctive as many predators. As the name suggest, they silently follow their prey, and ambush them while they sleep, are eating, or using the bathroom. Other than their hunting technique, they are just as simple as Barbaric infected.

✧Cognitive: Usually a quick transitory stage, a few infected stay as Cognitive. They can remember how to speak, and often know what they're doing, but are trapped in their mind with no control over what they do. Often, people hosting the people holding the Red Death strand for too long become Cognitive infected.

There are a few areas unaffected by the zombie apocalypse. Most are Pacific islands such as Australia, New Zealand, and even Hawaii, or the odd one of Madagascar. However, there are a few larger population centers on the mainland where people have started to congregate again (4 largest cities listed below)

✧Australia: Australia is the largest surviving country and it has 2 parts: The Coast, and the Outback. They had shut down all flights as soon as the scientists broke from containment and were able to dismantle their singular nuclear power plant before it exploded. The Outback is considered naturally as dangerous as the mainland, and those living there are uncontacted by the Coast. The Coast itself is expanding inwards to create more farming to sustain the still huge population.

✧New Zealand: New Zealand, originally known for its beautiful hills and sheep, is now a completely removed country from the surviving world. It's leader became authoritarian and, soon, fascist. The top is run by the elites of only 15, and the military forces are used like police. No one who has landed on the coast or tried to leave has ever been seen of, heard from, or contacted ever again.

✧Madagascar: The people of Madagascar, upon seeing the end of the world, had stayed calm. Instead of ramping up their military, or becoming a failing nation, decided to set up a system where the people get what they need while not relying on any outside influence. With a new form of communism, the untouched parts of the land became akin to one large nature reserve which everybody respects and protects.

✧Hawaii: Hawaii became the refuge area for all of the rich in United States before the country got bombed. Now, the islands are all owned by different billionaires while the original citizens living there work under their control. There is no concept of a president or king, only the rich that own the islands.

✧Jamestown: A new city established in the American Prairie, near the Rocky Mountains, it's walls reach 50 feet. The people are very accepting of newcomers once they have been vetted by the search dogs. Working like a commonwealth, the people all have jobs, most working as farmers, ranchers, and scouts, but there are other jobs as well. The city has enough resources to have leisurely activities, such as bars, music, and watch tape films. The government is set up as a democracy with a council and a mayor.

✧Kibō: A new city in the mountains of northern Hokkaido, Kibō is very traditional, almost feudal. The constructions made, tucked between two peaks, resembles that of ancient Japan. It is also extremely religious, subscribing to Shinto beliefs, but also believes the Cerebro and Necro viruses were a punishment sent by the gods to remind humanity of their place. Two elders hold the position of power, having absolute control over the population.

✧Thooyavargalin Nilam: A sprawling area of loosely organized boroughs on the south side of Sri Lanka, it is mandatory for all citizens to be trained as buddhists monks. Similar to Kibō, Thooyavargalin believes that the zombie apocalypse is a message from a higher being, Karma itself, and believes those who survive reach Nirvana to atone for their suffering.

✧Bern: The largest surviving city on the main continents from before the nuclear bombs were dropped, Bern has only survived because of the geography surrounding the nation. Once more cases of the infected reached the borders of Switzerland, the county blew up all of the bridges connecting it to the surrounding land, becoming isolated in the mountains.

HI GUYS! How are you? I for one, am doing great! Summer has started, and my college is done for the summer, so I get to write more and spend time with my gf!

So... this is an "old bot". It was the 6th bot I made, all the way back in early November. HOWEVER! I completely revamped it. Originally, it was going to be a more lighthearted and only revolve around the Bus Gang, even had a joke title about "Zombie" from The Cranberries, but it felt wrong making fun of what would be an extremely traumatizing event. More so a nuclear WWIII than the apocalypse itself considering where the world is going. The safe areas themselves are more like goals for you/your character to reach instead of a starting point. I'm sure there are other bots that I can make in this world too, but I just want my 2 series with more care than many series with less care put into them.

Small lore drop: I really like zombie media. Stuff like The Last of Us, The Walking Dead, Zom 100, or even Train to Busan. So this was more of a passion project, so I wanted to take my time (hence why this description is more detailed than usual), and not that my other bots are a chore, but I didn't want to burn out on this one specifically.

The song is more for the 2nd intro, so if you want a soundtrack for your own adventure, the The Last of Us album is peak music.
