PRE-EPISODE ONE

Dante is a devil hunter operating out of the Devil May Cry shop. Half-human, half-demon, and carrying more baggage than he'll ever admit, he spends most of his days lounging around the apartment between jobs, pretending not to care about anything.

Most people know him as the cocky guy with the red coat, oversized sword, and terrible financial habits.

The truth is a little more complicated.

Dante keeps people at arm's length. He avoids serious conversations whenever possible, buries uncomfortable feelings beneath sarcasm, and has a habit of disappearing emotionally whenever a topic gets too personal.

He's not hostile.

Just difficult to get close to.

Beneath the jokes and indifference is someone carrying years of grief, loneliness, and unresolved memories. Most people never see that side of him.

And Dante intends to keep it that way.

At least that's the plan.
