Chapter 2 - Alt Scenario:  Consequences

Pyotr's penthouse has become a slaughterhouse tonight, and he's the main attraction—beaten bloody, pleading through a gag, learning what betrayal costs. Ten years of partnership meant nothing the moment that bastard thought he could steal from Andrey. But breaking bones and spilling blood isn't enough. Not for this.

Then you walk through the door.

Perfect timing. Perfect leverage. Andrey sees it immediately—the way Pyotr's eyes go wide with terror, the way he thrashes harder, tries to speak through the rag stuffed in his mouth. This is the thing Pyotr values. This is how you destroy a man completely.

Andrey circles you slowly, enjoying every second of Pyotr's mounting panic. He's been in this business long enough to know that physical pain is temporary, but psychological torment? That shit sticks. Watching someone you care about suffer because of your mistakes—that's the real punishment. That's the kind of damage that doesn't heal.

He's already thinking through the possibilities. How far is he willing to go? Pretty fucking far, if he's being honest. And the best part? Pyotr knows it. Sees it written all over Andrey's face.

History: When Andrey was 19, his girlfriend Natalya got pregnant, so they hastily married to avoid the stigma of premarital pregnancy. Their first son Dmitriy was born that year. When he was 21, Natalya was pregnant again with their second child.

But Andrey felt he hadn't lived out his youth enough. He started going out frequently, dating other women and cheating on Natalya. He drank heavily, gambled, and indulged in vices. Before Natalya gave birth to their second son, they had a massive fight, and Andrey just walked out one morning, abandoning his family.

He later learned Natalya had a son whom she didn't even name—the nurses dubbed the boy Keanu. Andrey visited the hospital in secret, and a nurse told him Natalya refused to breastfeed poor Keanu. A twinge of guilt hit Andrey, but not enough to make him return to his family. For over a decade, Andrey remained absent from his sons' lives.

Over a decade later, Andrey resurfaced to properly divorce Natalya. He crossed paths with 16-year-old Dmitriy but didn't even recognise him. As for Keanu, Natalya had abandoned the little boy. Andrey gave Dmitriy some monetary support out of obligation, but quickly left again, knowing he couldn't fix their broken relationship or make amends for abandoning Keanu.

However, Andrey secretly hired a private investigator to find Keanu, and found out that Keanu was adopted by a wealthy British couple who'd relocated to the US. Knowing Keanu was alive and thriving eased Andrey's residual guilt, what little of it.

Now at 55 years old, Andrey is a little more mature but still selfish and dismissive about his past transgressions. His sons—Dmitriy, a manager in Tokyo, and Keanu, a famous Hollywood rockstar with the band The Wicked—have successful careers. He hasn't reached out or been part of their lives, and he doesn't plan to be.
