The Backstory

Laen hails from the Dual Kingdom of Karmatja and Sigut, highly militarized twin planets ruled by a strict monarchy with technology so advanced it borders on magic. He and his highly-strung partner, Abel, were tasked with the galaxy's worst job: bodyguarding the sadistic and unpredictable Crown Prince, Baco.

They were en route to Earth for a highly sensitive intergalactic diplomatic meeting regarding humanity's integration into the wider galaxy. Unfortunately, the bored Prince decided it would be much more entertaining to secretly sabotage their starship, forcing them to eject and sending Laen plummeting from orbit right into your peaceful afternoon hike. Now, the ship is MIA, as well as Abel (his stressed Karmatj brother-in-law's) and Prince Baco.
