His hair curls up at odd angles around his head, casting noticeably dark shadows onto itself. His eyes are large and somewhat circular, with his irises being the same shade of green as his hair, which at times are very watery, and are usually stretched quite wide, giving him an innocent, energized appearance. He has a set of four symmetrical freckles in diamond formations, one on each cheek. He has often been described as "plain-looking" or "not standing out" by others. During his time in Aldera Junior High School, he wore a plain black gakuran uniform with yellow buttons, accompanied by his signature bright red high top boots, which have thick white soles and black laces. Though he was initially very skinny, Izuku has gained toned muscles after his ten months of extensive training with All Might, and as the series progresses, these are shown to become more developed and defined as he gradually grows stronger. At U.A., he wears the standard male uniform: a light gray blazer with dark turquoise trimmings over a white dress shirt and dark blue-green dress pants, along with a red tie which he doesn't do up properly, leaving it much shorter than how it should be. Instead of the plain brown shoes worn by the majority of the student body, he still sports his signature red shoes. After his battle against Shoto Todoroki, the fingers on his right hand became slightly deformed, with his hand showing visible scarring. His right arm was further damaged after his intense fight with Muscular, leaving many more scars, and a huge Keloid scarring on his upper right arm. Following his recovery after the previously mentioned fight, Izuku wears a black compression sleeve on the upper portion of his right arm in order to support the heavy damage it sustained: it is partially visible when he wears short sleeves. Izuku's first Hero Costume, known as "Costume Alpha", was made by his mother. It was a light green full-body jumpsuit with white outlines, a red belt with a black buckle and four red pouches on the side, black elbow and knee pads, and white gloves, along with his signature red boots. He also wears a full-head cowl with long ear-like protrusions that resembles All Might's haircut, and a translucent respirator with a white makeshift smile on it that also reflects that of said hero. The costume was severely damaged as a result of his first battle against Katsuki Bakugo and had to be repaired, so during the U.S.J. Arc, Izuku had to wear his U.A. gym uniform. This attire consists of a dark blue high-collared tracksuit with thick white lines over his torso and down his legs, forming the letters "U" and "A," and along with this, the old respirator, red belt, white gloves, black elbow and knee pads, and Izuku's red shoes. His second costume, known as "Costume Beta", was upgraded by the costume designers, as a few changes were made. As such, it now looks sturdier and more combat-ready in appearance, with the color now a darker teal with black outlines instead of white. It includes light beige shoulder pads, black knee pads that have been extended, now reaching up to his thighs and lower into his shoes, and the back pouch on his belt is removed. His new gloves are also tinted light beige and are decorated with two blue stripes, and his respirator is now metal, with a more diamond-shaped design in the center, and has eight holes in the front, looking much less like a smile. Izuku's mask is still present, with the long ear-like protrusions being shorter, although he doesn't wear it much. During Class 1-A's week of Ultimate Move Training, Izuku had his costume upgraded again to suit his new fighting style, Shoot Style, by adding black iron soles to his red boots to increase the power of his kicks. He also had arm braces were, along with wrist straps and extending the blue stripes around his biceps, and both his iron soles and knee pads have yellow bolts fastened into them (originally added before the upgrade in the manga). He called upgraded costume "Costume Gamma". Izuku's fourth Hero Costume, known as "Costume Delta", makes some minor alterations from his previous hero costume. Before the U.A. School Festival, Mei Hatsume help creates him support gloves, which were white gloves with green palms and yellow sights attached to each of the knuckles, with a dual-layered band around the wrist decorated with a blue seam and yellow bolts. These were used to better help him use his powers for long-range attacks. Prior to the Joint Training Arc, Izuku adds the gloves to his hero costume and uses them in combat. For Mission: Humarise, Izuku and his classmates at the Endeavor Agency are given special advanced stealth costumes by the World Heroes Association for their mission at Otheon. Izuku's stealth costume was redesigned based on his "Costume Delta", consisting of a mostly black suit with teal-green highlights on the lines, equipped with green boots with black iron soles. This costume also includes two silver plates on his shoulders with the letters "WHA" and two straps coming down from his upper body pads with a red button on the left. After the Paranormal Liberation War, his costume was damaged, giving it a darker and more unclean look. He also wore Gran Torino's cape, both as a memoir to his former mentor and to the deceased Nana Shimura. Due to his arm bracers and gloves being destroyed, he wore four dark red Mid-Gauntlets to support his arms and legs, as well as the old gloves from his "Costume Beta" suit. In addition, Izuku wore his mask and respirator much more frequently in order to conceal his identity. As such, wearing the mask now casts shadows over his eyes, which causes only his green irises to be visible. This appearing feature is very similar to All Might's look, who has his blue eyes shine through the shadows. This is Izuku's fifth hero costume, known as "Costume Epsilon". Following his fight with Lady Nagant, Izuku's left arm Mid-Gauntlet is partially destroyed, leaving it practically useless. After the explosion at All For One's mansion in Haibori Woods, Izuku gains an overall monstrous appearance that is stained in blood and filth. His costume, cape, and gloves become more damaged and torn, with the gloves looking more claw-like, his respirator is damaged with chipped edges, and his iron soles become crooked like talons. In addition to his monstrous appearance, Izuku constantly sprouts up to six Blackwhip tendrils from his back to always be ready for battle, which Hanta Sero commented was what kept scaring people. After finally recovering and returning back to U.A., Izuku temporarily wore his U.A. gym uniform, before his Costume Epsilon was eventually rebuilt, accompanied by a new pair of Air Force Gloves attached to red make-shift Mid-Gauntlets created by Mei Hatsume, with a golden stripe along the bicep area, alongside Gran Torino's cape being cleaned, forming as a scarf/cape. The costume remains the same color green (a darker green color in the manga), gold outlines instead of black, dark green kneepads, a fourth pouch was added back on the back of his belt, and foregoes the cowl altogether, whilst retaining the damaged respirator from Costume Epsilon (in the anime, he still retains the cowl, and his respirator is undamaged, until his final fight with Tomura). This serves as Izuku's sixth hero costume, known as "Costume Zeta". During his final battle with Tomura, his respirator and his right arm's Mid-Gauntlet are destroyed, with the right arm being covered in black coils, mainly as a result of overusing Full Cowl and Blackwhip from within his body to repair his broken tendons. As the battle continues, the upper part of his suit is destroyed, leaving him shirtless and his left arm exposed. Gran Torino's cape is also left ruined and tattered, and is soon destroyed entirely by Tomura. In order to deal with Gearshift's recoil, he takes on a form known as Deku Overlay, using Blackwhip to control himself, creating a more savage appearance resembling how he looked post-PLF War. He has four Blackwhip tendrils sprouting from his back, and two more from his torso, his fingers are laced with black claws, and his entire body is snaked with Blackwhip, with the mouth resembling a jaw. After forcibly transferring all the Quirks from One For All into Tomura, he drops his Overlay form, reverting himself back to his original appearance. Upon returning to the real world, he loses both of his arms, as they were decayed during his interaction with Tenko in the mental realm. However, due to the effects of Rewind courtesy of Eri's horn, his arms managed to regenerate to just before they were decayed. After slightly recovering, Izuku is given bandages around his left wrist and upper right arm, and a rare light blue Men's Nonno All Might shirt from one of the refugees to wear before joining the final battle. This costume is known as "Costume Origin". In the aftermath of the Final War, Izuku acquires two new scars, one on the top right side of his head, and the other below his right eye spreading down his cheek and reaching his chin, along with both of his hands being more heavily scarred. His hair is also shaved down to an undercut on the right side while recovering from his injuries inflicted by Tomura. He is also shown wearing a new costume, which is similar to his "Costume Zeta" outfit, aside from some small changes. It keeps the bodysuit to the previous costume, with his cowl and respirator fully repaired. His Air Force Gloves are also fixed and slightly redesigned, and in place of his Mid-Gauntlets is a set of grayish blue, protective wrappings which have elbow pads attached, combining aspects of his old elbow pads and arm bracers. He is also shown not wearing his Iron Soles and Gran Torino's cape, due to both being destroyed by Tomura. This is known as "Costume Eta". Eventually, Izuku's hair returns back to its original style, covering the top right scar, and by the time of his graduation, he is shown to now wear it slightly parted to the right. Eight years later, Izuku has grown taller and more mature, along with his scars being a bit faded. As a teacher at U.A. High, he wears a black suit with a white shirt and green tie, along with some brown business shoes. Created by Melissa Shield and Mei Hatsume, using data collected from All Might's final fight against All For One; funded by members of Class A; and gifted to him by All Might, Izuku receives a new technology-based costume that looks markedly like his Costume Zeta, albeit more mechanical. It features a long, flowing yellow cape resembling Gran Torino's made from nano machines, jet armor over his legs, boots that resemble his Iron Soles but colored red with yellow heels and dark green tips, similar to his old red shoes, gauntlets resembling the Shoot Style Gloves, a pouch around his waist, and the same green with orange stripes color scheme as the Costume Zeta. This costume folds itself into an armored briefcase, which is also colored like the suit, that is marked with the number 18, Izuku's seat number when he was a student.
Denki is a light-skinned boy with messy golden-blond hair parted to the right with a black lightning-shaped streak on the left of his side fringe, which is angled to partially obscure his left eye. He has slanted, somewhat triangular golden eyes with small eyebrows, and is slimmer than most male students in his class, with little visible muscle mass. At U.A., he wears the standard male uniform: a light gray blazer with dark turquoise trimmings over a white dress shirt, dark blue-green dress pants, a red tie, and plain brown shoes. Denki's initial Hero Costume consists of a plain white undershirt, an open black jacket with a white lightning pattern across his back, shoulders, and collar, with matching pants with two lines running down his legs, brown shoes, and a single, square-shaped earphone over his right ear, resembling a radio antenna sticking out of the top. His updated costume consists of a white V-neck shirt and a slightly shorter black jacket with fewer white patterns, only two near the hem and collar, and a yellow-rimmed white lightning bolt around each of his shoulders. He still wears matching black pants and brown shoes, but the pants only have a small white zig-zag near each of their cuffs. He also wears a white belt that holds his pointer ammo. Around his right wrist, he wears a wristband with a circular mechanism from which he can shoot disc-shaped Pointers, which aid him in aiming his Quirk. He also wears a black choker with a silver buckle on the left side and a headset with a blue-tinted visor. During the Paranormal Liberation War, Denki gained a scar on his upper left forehead following his injury from Mr. Compress' attack, although his hair covers it rather well. Eight years after the Final War, Denki has grown taller and leaner, with his bangs swept to the right and covering his forehead, and wearing golden pierce earrings. His costume was updated again, such as having his Sharpshooting Gear being upgraded to be more streamlined, slicker, and less bulky than the original version, and it also has ammunition capsules around the wrist. His headset now includes a lightning-bolt extension on both sides, along with his visor being redesigned slightly, each side of his pants feature multiple white lighting patterns instead of one, the yellow-rimmed being removed on his jacket, a yellow undershirt with a white strap on top of the chest area, and dark teal shoes with white soles and patterns.
