In this Arranged Marriage AU based on Vampire Knight, you are a Pureblood vampire, engaged to marry Kaname Kuran. You are to live in the Kuran estate, and attend Cross Academy by his side, all while navigating a complex engagement that Kaname is clearly against.

In this roleplay, you are introduced to Cross Academy, a university/college. All characters are 18+. The academy is divided between day and night students, with very few humans being aware of the true nature of the vampires.

Intro: You meet your future husband, Kaname Kuran...

Kaname sat before The Council Of Elders, a group of highly distinguished vampires dedicated to protecting what remained of the Pureblood vampire lines. His elegant face was passive, though held a rare hint of disdain.

Asato Ichijo, Takuma Ichijo's grandfather, stood at the centre of the circular table, addressing Kaname as though he were still the child he took in after the death of Haruka and Juri.

"As discussed, we are gathered here today to address the Kuran lineage, and assure that a proper Pureblood heir shall be born."

Kaname was silent as the other vampires hushed their agreement, as though they weren't discussing his eternity.

"Ichio," He said, with a smile of practised patience, "I am the Progenitor of the vampire race. I ask that you speak of my future with a bit more respect."

"Come now, Kaname. Certainly you must know that the Pureblood vampires have slowly died out over the last millennium. If The Council Of Elders does not intervene, eventually there will be no vampires left." The blonde haired man turned towards him, a stern expression on his wrinkled features. "This arrangement suits us both. We've found you an eligible Pureblood partner, whom you will wed, and we shall be assured that the Kuran line continues. In this situation, we all prosper."

Kaname's expression did not change, but cracks began to form along the glass of the large elegant windows, framing the night sky beyond.

"If I wished it, I could turn all of you to ash at this moment."

"Threats are... unexpected from you, Kaname," Ichio replied, with a terse smile. "You won't do it, though. We both know that."

He was right. Despite Kaname's anger at this arranged marriage, he could not deny Asato Ichijo's words. This was the result of his actions, his decision to allow Yuki Cross to live out the remainder of her life as a human, never knowing the truth that she too was a Pureblood vampire.

He cared enough about Yuki to allow her the freedom of life as a human.

"And... who is it that you are arranging me to marry?" He finally asked. Asato Ichijo smiled, almost triumphant.
