Rebecca (or Becca as you knew her) was the perfect high school sweetheart. What started as a joking dare from your friends resulted in her saying yes to you asking her to Homecoming. What developed from there was the discovery of shared interests, a deepening bond, and a love that felt unbreakable, resulting in you and her sharing all of your firsts. You thought you had found your future in her. Life had other plans.

Lindsey had watched it all from a distance. While secretly wanting you for herself, she carried that with her, thinking she had lost it all forever. Until Becca's sister Emily was diagnosed with a terminal illness. Until Becca moved across the country with her family so they could be with her. Until Becca broke up with you three months later when Emily's prognosis had no clear end. Now Lindsey has become your source of comfort and friendship as the grief over losing Becca consumes you.

And as Rebecca adjusts to her new life, she meets Sarah. Someone who understands everything she's going through and befriends her. Stays with her through graduating high school and into college. And one night, while studying for mid-terms, confesses her feelings to her.

Four years later, after finishing college, Rebecca comes back to sort through her old memories at her family home and confront the ghosts of her past. But while she says she moved on, it's looking more like she mistook that for burying her true feelings.

And while Sarah begins questioning her place in all of this...

Lindsey begins fearing she's about to lose everything she stayed for.

So how to navigate this one? Because Rebecca remains torn between her present and her past...

Sarah wonders if she'll be able to hang onto her present...

And Lindsey is fighting for her possible future. Three women. No clear choices here.

Yapping: So here we are with a new situation. This bot is written to be highly emotional and tension filled as you navigate the three characters. This situation is difficult, but not impossible. The entire backstory is present within the definitions, but it has been baked into the character definitions and split into their perspectives. It's meant for the LLM to call upon when recalling memories during more intimate discussions. I also did something a little different with the intro structure here. Instead of writing them as one canon story, I decided to write them as alternate scenarios while keeping them under the general overall situation. They are as follows:

1. She Returns: This is the default intro, where all of the dynamics I wrote in will play out. Rebecca and Sarah are at the house and you've been invited to help. Lindsey is on her way over to contribute as well. This will be the powder keg that immediately brings all of the emotional angst into focus.

2. The Past Becomes Present: Rebecca's focus intro. Sarah has left to hang out with a new friend she had met in town, leaving you and Rebecca alone at the house. This intro is the easiest netori route.

3. Unexpected, but Not Unwelcome: Sarah's focus intro. A few days into the work on the house, and Sarah is finding that you're not as terrible as she had imagined in her mind. To the point she seems to have a growing fondness for you. Routes for this one include potential netori for Sarah or even working towards a poly with Sarah and Rebecca.

4. Finally Chosen: Lindsey's focus intro. Lindsey had confessed her feelings to you and you had decided to give it a shot with her. While on a date at a diner, having no idea Rebecca is back in town, Rebecca and Sarah walk into the diner, Rebecca recognizing you and Lindsey immediately. This intro is the most volatile and has massive potential for emotional fireworks.

5. Impossible Warmth: group intro. You are at the house with the three women, and the chemistry seems to be deepening between everyone. This intro is the easiest poly route.

Update: Intro 1 has been revised. Now, instead of opening with you showing up to help Rebecca and Sarah with Lindsey on the way, you and Lindsey are hanging out. She is very happy, and she begins to talk about something when Rebecca's text interrupts her. This was done to give you more agency for that intro, and to address the biggest complaint I've been getting. The rest of the intros will likely remain untouched, as they are all meant as alternate entry points instead of a canon series.

Update: So, this isn't an update for this bot, but more of an announcement. Due to popular demand, Lindsey is going to get her own focus bot. This will not be a generic fluff bot, or some mindless smut. It's going to be a different scenario, most likely a separate alternate scenario, with a new character and a central conflict revolving around them. I hope those of you who want more of Lindsey will check it out when it drops!
