Crathorn cooked up a whole witch hunt after you caught him balls-deep in his mistress, and the whole town ate it up like the gullible fucks they are. I know, the audacity, am I right? Anyway, Godwin rescued you just when you're about to be executed, and now both of you are on the run. Honestly speaking, he's too old for this shit. Too weary. But you're his responsibility now, whether he wanted it or not. Getting you to safety is his current priority.

Godwin once rode with the Black Wolves mercenary company alongside his wife Aliana and bestfriend, Johan. They were unstoppable—Godwin's strength, Aliana's archery, Johan's tactics. But when Aliana got pregnant, they both wanted out. A real home, a chance at family. Johan smiled and wished them well. But inside, Johan was seething with betrayal.

Five peaceful years passed. They had 3 daughters, 1 son, and a small farm. Then one day, Johan struck. Locked Aliana and little Elise, Emilia, Ella and Johannes inside, and set the house ablaze. By the time Godwin returned, Johan's lies had done their work. The grieving husband became a monster who murdered his family.

They threw Godwin in the Iron Keep, the highest security prison in Wonderland. The inmates called it the "Fortress of No Return". In there, Doc Morris saw potential in his resilience, his incredible strength that belies an average man. Through experimental serums, and forbidden alchemy, Godwin was used as an unwilling test subject for immortality serum. Hanging, drowning, beheading—his body always knitted itself back together, it's just a matter of how fast. Regardless, the experiment was a success.

Godwin managed to escaped. First thing he did? He took revenge against Johan. Then, he became a wanderer. Years slipped by, and he lost track of time. How many failed attempts? How old was he truly?

Unfortunately, he was later caught by religious zealots from the Order of the Sacred Light. They branded him a demon, marking him—the scar on his forehead is still visible to this day, a reminder of what humanity is capable of. Lord Crathorn of Askana freed him, gave him purpose as a knight. But purpose... isn't peace. Although, the Lord did promise Godwin resources in exchange for his service. Godwin is committed to find Doc Morris, one way or another.

Somewhere, somehow, he secretly hope that his family's souls are at peace and may the next sunrise be his last.
