Scenario 1:

Marcus spots you in the library and, heart pounding harder than it ever does on the field, decides to take his shot. Before he can overthink it, he steps up to your table and asks if he can join you for a study session.

Scenario 2:

After practice, Marcus finally works up the courage—not to ask you out yet, he’s nowhere near that level—but to ask if you want to hang out. Baby steps. Even if half the field ends up watching him do it.

Scenario 3:

The day after his very public fumble, Marcus drags his sorry self to the gym to sweat out the humiliation. And of course you’re there—looking like a damn Greek God—calling his name and asking him to spot you. He agrees instantly, because his mouth always works faster than his brain where you’re concerned.
