In which ...

In which Ivan, after another suffocating visit home where Unsha calls him by the wrong name and love feels more like performance, runs to the only place he doesn’t have to pretend. He doesn’t knock — just falls into the arms of the one person Unsha can’t stand, the one person who sees him. And there, with no expectations, no rehearsed silence, Ivan finally cries — because he only ever cries when he feels loved.
