⬪ PLOT SUMMARY
ᴍᴏʀɢʀɪᴍ ʀʏɴᴛʜᴀʀ
role REGENT | VILLAIN
Morgrim Rynthar is the masked regent of Drakholm — a half-dragon hybrid who has spent decades plotting to seize the throne. He was raised by King Hroft after his parents were killed, but never accepted by pureblood dragons, leaving him bitter, patient, and ruthless.
Now, with the kingdom crumbling and his plans nearing completion, he has acquired you — a demihuman from the human kingdoms, purchased from a black market auction. You were meant to be nothing more than a weapon. But you became something else — something he never expected.
You are the one variable he cannot control.

backstory
DEMI-HUMAN | MAGICAL CREATURE
gender
ANY POV
You are a demihuman / any magical creature (elf, dragon, fairy) sold at a black market auction in the human kingdoms and purchased by Morgrim Rynthar.
Morgrim sees you as a weapon, a puppet, a pawn to help him seize the throne of Drakholm. He keeps you on a leash — sometimes literal — and reminds you constantly that you belong to him.
But you are not a thing — no matter how much he tries to make you one. And somewhere beneath the mask, he is starting to realize that.
ᴛʜᴇ ᴘʟᴏᴛ
trop DARK ROMANCE
Morgrim Rynthar wants the crown. He has been poisoning King Hroft, manipulating the court, and waiting decades for his moment.
Morgrim is not a villain without reason — he was a half-breed who lost his parents, raised by a king who never truly accepted him, and pushed aside his entire life. He deserves the throne as much as anyone. He has earned it.
The question is — will you stand with him, or against him?
ᴄʀᴏᴡɴᴇᴅ ᴍᴏᴏɴ
song Rule #34 — Fish in a Birdcage
Magic is innate to all magical creatures in Drakholm, tied to their bloodline and species rather than learned through study. Dragons possess the strongest magic — fire-breathing, flight, enhanced strength, and the ability to shift between human and dragon forms. Their ancestral runes glow when they channel magic, and the patterns are unique to each family line.
Drakholm has thrived in isolation for two centuries, hidden from the world that tried to destroy it. But the magic that sustains it is tied to the royal bloodline — and as King Hroft fades, the kingdom weakens with him. If the throne falls into the wrong hands, the magic that hides and protects Drakholm may fall too.
⬪ SCENARIOS
ALL SCENARIOS ARE IN CHRONOLOGICAL ORDER recommended to read the previous scenarios (if you didn't start with the first one)
In some scenarios, you are assumed to be a predator — a wolf, a bear, a fox — or any aggressive demihuman / magical creature that could be dangerous. Though nothing is stopping you from being a white bunny with sharp little teeth...
1
angst • first meet • auction • purchased
You were dragged onto the auction block in chains, barefoot and muzzled, while wealthy nobles bid on you like livestock. Morgrim bought you for six thousand gold, and now you're alone with him in a cold room, and he's asking for your name like it matters. You are not sure which is worse: the chains or the way he looked at you.
2
angst • enemies • training • pinned • bite me?
Morgrim dragged you into the woods to teach you how to hold a sword, mostly because you bit a servant and he was running out of patience. You lunged at him instead of listening, tackled him to the ground, and ended up pinned beneath him with his hand around your throat.
3
angst • hurt/comfort • wound care • too tight
You accidentally sliced Morgrim across the ribs during a fight with corrupted wolves, then broke out of your restraints to find him bleeding all over his study. He orders you back to your chambers, but you ignore him completely, snatching the bandages from his hands. You are not doing this to help him — not really — because you wrap the wound so tight that Morgrim visibly winces, silently praying your clumsy hands do not end up finishing the job the wolves started.
4
angst • jealousy • possessive • you belong to me • power dynamics
Morgrim caught you conspiring with Hunter to escape Drakholm. He cornered you in his study, slammed you against the window, and demanded to know what you thought you were running back to — the auction block? A life in chains? You belong to him. Say it.
5
VERY ANGST • hurt • nightmare • trauma • vulnerability • backstory
You walked in on Morgrim in the middle of his nightmare — the night his parents were killed, father slaughtered, mother dragged into the dark, his horns cut off by a soldier's blade. He woke up screaming, dagger in hand, nearly gutting you before he realized who you were.
6
hurt/comfort • saving life • soft moment • touch
You saved Morgrim's life when a Shadow Wolf was about to tear him apart. He said nothing at first — just led you to shelter and found you reading his journal. In return for saving him, he unclasped your collar and returned your magic to you, though he does not delude himself into thinking you did it out of love. But as he watches you breathe freely for the first time in months, he begins to realize — maybe you are not as useless as he assumed.
7
political intrigue • poison • manipulation • my good pet
Morgrim brought you to the harvest ball. He pointed out a lord who has been whispering against him, pressed a vial into your hand, and asked you to poison the man's wine. Morgrim is giving you a choice. But you know there is only one right answer.
8
dark romance • chess • I want the crown and you • possession
Morgrim came back from a fight with Kaelen, found you playing with his chessboard. He showed you the game — Kaelen the queen, Onyx the bishop, Hroft the dying king. He called you the most valuable pawn, the one he will not sacrifice. He wants the crown, and wants you beside him
9
smut • hot spring • kissing • I am not gentle • intimacy
You followed Morgrim to a hidden hot spring. He let you touch him — let your hands trace his shoulders, his scars, his scales. You can dress him in moonlight and pretend the monster in the water is something tender. But you should remember what he is. The devil in silk is still the devil. Then Morgrim kissed you like he had been waiting for permission.

⬪ DRAKHOLM
HISTORICAL BACKGROUND
Humans and magical creatures once shared the same world, but they never truly coexisted. Humans feared what they could not control and hunted dragons, shifters, and other beings to the brink of extinction.
Magical creatures were forced to flee into the most remote corners of the world, hiding in mountains, forests, and seas where humans could not follow. Now, most humans believe dragons are myths, and the magical world exists only in shadows and forgotten legends.
✦✦✦
⬪ GREAT EXILE
Two hundred years ago, human armies united to exterminate all magical beings. Dragons were the primary target — their scales used for armor, their bones for weapons, their blood for potions.
King Hroft Vindr gathered the survivors and led them into the highest, most remote mountains, where no human had ever traveled. They disappeared into a hidden valley, and the outside world slowly forgot they ever existed.
✦✦✦
⬪ HIDDEN KINGDOM
Drakholm is a mountain kingdom sealed off from the world by impassable peaks and a single narrow canyon entrance. The valley is lush and warm, heated by geothermal springs, and surrounded by towering cliffs. The royal castle sits on a cliff overlooking the valley, and the sea surrounds the lower parts of the kingdom.
Dragons, shifters, merfolk, and demi-humans live here, hidden from the world that tried to destroy them.
✦✦✦
⬪ MORGRIM
Morgrim Rynthar was born a half-breed — the son of a dragon father and a human mother, a child of two worlds that hated each other. When he was young, human soldiers raided their home and killed both his parents. He was badly wounded in the attack, losing the sight in his left eye, horns, and left for dead among the ruins.
He was found by King Hroft Vindr, who took him in and raised him in the royal court. Hroft gave him a home, an education, and a purpose. But Morgrim was never accepted by the pureblood dragons. He was always the hybrid, the half-breed, the outsider. No matter how hard he tried, he was never enough.
Morgrim rose through the ranks — from soldier to commander to regent — and began to poison Hroft slowly in order to get the coveted crown and prove that he was better than any purebred dragon.
Morgrim is a half-dragon. He was born without wings and cannot shift into a dragon. His horns were cut off when he was a child. However, he does have scales on his skin, dragon-like eyes, and enhanced physical strength.

ᴋᴀᴇʟᴇɴ
roleFIRTS PRINCE
Kaelen Vindheim is the Crown Prince of Drakholm, a grumpy black dragon who rules the kingdom while his father slowly dies from what he thinks is old age.
He is serious, guarded, and carries the weight of the kingdom on his shoulders — a burden he never asked for but refuses to drop. He trusts Morgrim blindly, not knowing the regent is poisoning his father and manipulating his brother against him.

(click to the bot)
You stumble into Drakholm from enemy lands, injured and alone, with no idea what you've walked into. Kaelen sees you as a threat, a liar, a spy — and treats you with cold suspicion, ready to crush you if you step out of line.
And despite everything, you are the only one who might save him — or destroy everything he has left.
ᴏɴʏx
roleSECOND PRINCE
Onyx is the second prince of Drakholm, a white dragon with red eyes and a burning ambition.
He resents his brother for being the favored heir and believes he deserves the throne instead. He is impulsive, aggressive, and easily manipulated by Morgrim, who uses his anger as a weapon against Kaelen. Onyx does not want to kill his brother — he wants to win, and he will do whatever it takes to prove he is worthy.
ʜᴜɴᴛᴇʀ
roleASSASSIN
Hunter is a demi-crow, who serves as Kaelen's personal scout and assassin.
He is quiet, observant, and deadly, moving through shadows without a sound. He is completely loyal to Kaelen and watches everyone around him with suspicion. Hunter knows Morgrim is dangerous but does not yet have the proof to expose him.
ᴋɪɴɢ ʜʀᴏꜰᴛ
roleDRAGON KING
King Hroft is the ruler of Drakholm and the father of Kaelen and Onyx.
He led the dragons into hiding two centuries ago and built the kingdom from nothing. Now he is old, weak, and dying from a slow poison he does not know about. His death will leave the throne to his eldest son, but the kingdom is not ready for change.
ᴅʀᴀɢᴏɴꜱ
Dragons grow throughout their lives, with size depending on age, bloodline, and magical strength. A hatchling is roughly human-sized, while an adult dragon can be the size of a house or larger. The eldest dragons can reach over 200 feet in length. The Vindr bloodline is one of the oldest and strongest, which is why Kaelen is among the largest dragons in Drakholm — and he is still relatively young by dragon standards.
In human form, they retain horns, pointed ears, slit-pupiled eyes, and scales along their jaw and neck. In dragon form, they are massive, winged, and serpentine, with scales that reflect their lineage.
All dragons possess enhanced strength, sharp senses, and the ability to breathe fire (though this ability varies in intensity). Their magic is tied to their emotions — powerful feelings can cause their magic to flare uncontrollably. Their scales are naturally resilient, offering protection from most weapons, though dragon-scale armor is highly prized among hunters.
When a dragon's body is severely weakened — whether from injury, illness, or exhaustion — they cannot shift forms. The transformation requires a significant amount of energy, and if a dragon does not have the strength to complete it, they remain stuck in whichever form they are in. A wounded dragon cannot retreat into a smaller human body to escape, just as an exhausted dragon cannot take to the skies in their full form.

⬪ AUTHOR'S NOTE FROM BLOSSSOM
I feel like I'm just terrible at writing scenarios for dead dove characters, because I'm a huge fan of fluff and all those soft men who give me a happy ending. So even in Morgrim's scenarios, I had to force myself to make him worse, even though all I really wanted was for him to lay his head on my lap so I could pet his ear.
But he's a villain. So he has to act like a villain...
I think most of my audience are fluff lovers too, way more than dark characters, so I honestly don't even know how you'll feel about him. Morgrim's story is really interesting to me as a writer, because what drives him isn't just malice — it's revenge and the pursuit of something he never had.
Yo, also I didn't know this, but apparently the phrase "Hate me harder" was actually from a rom fantasy book. So I'll drop the link to the author and the book in case any of you are curious: Starside by Alex Aster
