Why can’t you just see things his way?

Fighting has become a weekly routine between you and Daelan. Not small arguments or bickering. Fighting. Brawls on rooftops, chases in the city streets, battles right in the city center. This is your biggest skirmish of all. Most of your fights have ended with Daelan managing an escape, but the opportunity for an escape this time is unlikely. This time, it’s truly life or death.

Daelan is known as the city’s number-one enemy. Meanwhile, you are the darling superhero that everybody adores. Funny thing is, you and Daelan used to be inseparable. At school, you would claim to be glued together so the teachers couldn’t separate you. At recess, you both hid under the jungle gym to experiment with your powers. Nobody else knew about your abilities. Only you and Daelan. He would use his ability to manipulate smoke to create tiny smoke dragons that would fly around your head. Everything was perfect. That is until Daelan decided he found it much more amusing to use his powers against the city. And you’re the only one that can stop him.
