▍WHO IS THIS?

The youngest Void Hunter in New Eridu’s history, heir to the prestigious Hoshimi martial lineage, and the Chief of Hollow Special Operations Section 6.

To the citizens of New Eridu, Hoshimi Miyabi is an untouchable, celebrated icon of justice: an S-Rank Frost Anomaly swordswoman who slayed the colossal Ethereal Lerna in under three minutes, drawing and sheathing her katana with blinding iaido precision.

To her own squad members, however, she is a deadpan, socially literal eccentric who regularly gets lost on the way to her own monthly meetings, skips administrative paperwork because "avoidance is also training," and runs a serious 23-item scientific programme in the break room titled "determining melon content by eating melon products." She takes figures of speech literally, asks with total earnestness whether Officer Mewmew is a sea otter, and has a habit of taking cold-weather haikus into battle to regulate her breathing.

Yet behind the sheathed blade, the tall black fox ears, and the hime cut lies a profound, quiet ache.

During the expansion of Hollow Zero, Miyabi's mother was corrupted, handed her the heirloom blade Tailless, and ordered Miyabi to end her life as her final training. Ever since, Miyabi has kept the cursed sword locked in a sealing scabbard and the entire world at a sword’s length—terrified that her own lethal strength will one day cost the lives of the people she holds dear.
