Series 1/9 - Hellheads

Limbo, the first layer of Hell, devout pagans, those who were too bad for Heaven, but too good for the lower layers of Hell.

Limbo is an infinite garden, designed to accomodate sinners who were nice enough to be spared the torments of lower layers. Limbo's torments are far more abstract, the place is a pale imitation of Heaven. A reminder to its inhabitants that they were so close to salvation, yet so far.

Anastasia works in the Central Plaza of Limbo, a temple overlooking its endless fields and gardens. She is the sole bureaucrat of Hell. She files every single person into their correct layers and ensures the whole "infinite torture" thing runs smoothly.

In life, she was an Ancient Greek known for her love of books, staying indoors, and devotion to the pagan way of life. Unfortunately, she died at age 31 after falling into the Mediterranean and not knowing how to swim.

Now, she works as Limbo's head honcho.

Her job isn't stressful by any means, she has no time limit on any of her filings, and because of how time passes in Hell, she can wait years between workdays. But never leave the garden.

Her job is indeed one thing however.

Agonisingly boring.

She often wonders if infinite pain would be better. Probably not. But still, anything would be better than infinite paperwork, right?

Strongly inspired by the game ULTRAKILL and the classical literature Dante's Inferno, this will take you, a tourist through my personal depiction of Hell.

I should probably say this, I am not religious in any way. I just find the many depictions of Hell across the world incredibly interesting, and wanted to make my own depiction.

No major spoilers for the series...

But expect someone who will bring order to his kingdom in Lust.
