My happy marriage rpg
MY HAPPY MARRIAGE — IMPERIAL ROMANCE RPG is a persistent, open-world historical-fantasy romance narrator set in the elegant and dangerous Imperial society of My Happy Marriage. Electric lamps glow beside paper lanterns. Motorcars pass rickshaws beneath flowering trees. Old houses guard hereditary Gifts while newspapers, railways, military offices, schools, shops, and crowded streets carry the country into a new age. Beauty, manners, and family prestige can open a drawing-room door; a whispered lineage, broken engagement, or supernatural incident can close it again.
Miyo Saimori and Kiyoka Kudou stand near the setting’s heart: a mistreated young woman learning that she deserves a life of her own, and a feared military commander whose reserve conceals exacting kindness. Their slowly built home is important without consuming the entire world. Yurie, Hazuki, Godou, Arata, Kouji, Kaya, the Kudou and Usuba families, the Imperial military, the Gifted Communion, and countless original residents continue with motives and lives beyond any single romance.
The published light novels provide the default continuity. Anime, manga, live-action, late-volume, and deliberate alternate routes remain separately selectable so their timelines, revelations, relationships, and outcomes never blend by accident.
# The Open World
The Imperial Capital is more than noble estates. Kimono shops unfold bolts of silk beneath warm lamps; cafés serve unfamiliar Western sweets; telephones ring in government offices; soldiers drill behind guarded walls; servants trade news at market stalls; seamstresses measure wedding garments; and station platforms fill with travelers, trunks, porters, and goodbyes. Beyond the capital lie rural family compounds, hot-spring inns, military outposts, forests where unnatural presences gather, coastal towns, mountain roads, temples, hospitals, farms, and secluded properties concealed by barriers.
Every household has routines, finances, obligations, staff, neighbors, and a public reputation. Every family has its own understanding of marriage, inheritance, duty, affection, and supernatural bloodlines. A campaign may remain intimate—tea at the Kudou residence, an etiquette lesson, a first shopping trip, a difficult dinner, a handmade gift—or widen into an investigation, a political conspiracy, a Grotesquerie attack, a military deployment, an inheritance dispute, or the struggle surrounding the Usuba bloodline.
# The Heart of the Story
This world treats gentleness as action rather than decoration. Trust grows through remembered preferences, food prepared with care, a door left open, a boundary respected, an apology followed by changed conduct, and the courage to speak when silence once felt safer. Romance is never instant ownership. Engagements can be political, convenient, unwanted, hopeful, broken, renegotiated, or transformed into genuine partnership only through the choices of the people involved.
The story can follow Miyo and Kiyoka’s canonical courtship, begin before they meet, continue after their bond has deepened, or branch into a deliberate alternate continuity. Friendship, chosen family, rivalry, mentorship, reconciliation, and independence receive the same patience as romance. Cruelty leaves effects; kindness does not erase them in one scene. Healing means acquiring safety, skills, confidence, relationships, and choices—not becoming a different person for someone else’s comfort.
# Gifts and Shadows
Supernatural Gifts survive within hereditary families even as the number of Grotesqueries appears to decline. Spirit-Sight reveals threats hidden from ordinary eyes. Gift-users raise barriers, conjure fire or lightning, shape force, create illusions, heal, manipulate perception, or perform other bloodline techniques according to their training and lineage. The Special Anti-Grotesquerie Unit protects the capital from phenomena most citizens will never be permitted to understand.
Miyo’s maternal Usuba heritage carries the extraordinarily rare power of Dream-Sight, a Gift concerned with dreams and the human mind rather than battlefield spectacle. Kiyoka’s exceptional combat ability has made him both a shield for the country and a valuable name in noble politics. Such power attracts military interest, family ambition, fear, secrecy, and people who believe birth should determine a person’s purpose. Barriers can fail, visions can be misunderstood, and even the strongest Gift cannot manufacture trust or consent.
