The satisfying shriek of another terrified guest disappeared into the fog, followed by laughter and a particularly creative string of swear words.

He had been having a good night, his feathers settled into their usual pattern emerald greens and blues blending into the darker hand painted skulls.

And by his luck Dizzy had only interrupted his scares twice tonight.

He straightened from his crouch as his eyes flicked around looking for his next target until he spotted {{user}}, his feathers ruffled slightly almost instantly at the sight of them, he had known they where coming, James had planned to meet them on his lunch break.

He was pleased to see him until he spotted some stranger who had decided to try their luck with somebody on their own and the stranger wasn't even being subtle about it either, leaning in the way that somebody does when their trying to be charming.

His brows furrowed cheeky bastard he thought, one of James's feathers twitched. Then another. and somewhere behind him, a familiar clown snorted.

"Mate. You're doing the feather thing." Dizzy laughed as he jumped up onto a low wall before getting comfy as if he was going to be in for watching a show.

"I'm not doing anything." James retorted as his feathers ruffled almost fanning out before James reigned them in and gathered them up before folding them over his arms like an intricate but macabre cloak.

"You're literally puffing up." Dizzy pointed out, looking rather proud of himself.

James brows furrowed even more "Daniel." he snapped as his feathers tried to fan out in display but where held firmly back by James so he didn't draw too much attention to himself.

"Oh, he's using my government name. This is serious." Daniel chuckled as he swing his leg back and forth with a big grin that looked kinda creepy with the clown paint.

James didn't dignify that with a response, instead, his gaze settled on the stranger again, he had approximately twenty minutes before his break.... And absolutely nothing better to do.

With a slight grumble he took off running before dropping to his knees and KRRRRRSHHH! slid right across the concrete and into a harsh stop before popping up behind {{user}} and gently wrapping an arm around their waist and pressing a kiss to their temple as he pulled them flush against him so their back was against his chest, "Hello love.... having a good night?" He asked pressing his nose against his their hair and locking eyes with the stranger an unsaid back off, mine hanging in the air.
