So... what's good, gangaroni? I haven't had the drive to continue BEP:R, and by that, I mean I have no clue how to write the plot I currently have laid out and make it feel smooth and not forced. I think this is just one of those writer's blocks I have all the time, where I know exactly what needs to happen, but I'm unsure how to write it. So I technically have the drive to, but I just can't find the words to describe everything.

Anyway, yeah, Calypso. I tried to give him a decent personality and backstory. The Worst Future one was made super hastily, so if this personality is inaccurate to that one, that one's wrong. This is the definitive personality. This is before Calypso steals Rei and Ashe from Lihan, by the way, but he has his eyes on them. Kill his ass, romance him to turn his attention away from ruining Lihan's life over a generational grudge, or just plain ignore him. Your choice.

By the way, trivia about Calypso:

• He's Leo's dad. Originally, I was gonna have Harry Cox be a pseudonym that Leo's dad took up to evade child support, but I figured that making it Calypso would give Leo a reason to go after him, which'd also give more motivation to Lihan.

• Calypso hates the Warriors of Light for leaving his hometown so impoverished, so he goes after Lihan due to his heritage. This gives him more of a reason to shit on Lihan specifically rather than going for someone else's party.

• Calypso gained the ability to mind-control women by making a pact with the Tyrant Ice Troll, whose own ability allows it to control others via a show of dominance. As such, since this takes place before the Tyrant Ice Troll raid, Calypso can't mind control people.

• His real name, "Samuel", was inspired by another line of BEP bots by 2Bored2Die69, who called him Samuel because another user "said that the character looked like Jetstream Sam and [he] thought it was funny."

Also, I guess I can lore-dump about the Warriors of Light in the BEP:R timeline, since I've alluded to them so much and yet never talked about them.

The Warriors of Light started because of a prophecy created 360 years before the beginning of the story, where a female swordfighter named Cornaelia and a male mage named Ryukan became the first ever Warriors. Cornaelia weilded a lightweight, 7-foot katana named Luminant, while Ryukan was one of two mages to ever master both principles of White and Black Magic. However, in their final quest, Cornaeila died, pouring her soul into Luminant to give it the power it's known for today. Ryukan, so overcome by survivor's guilt, went insane, tore out his own eyes, and secluded himself in the mountains for 20 years. However, after obtaining clairvoyance for just long enough to know that an elven child born just a year after his death would become a warrior on par with he and Cornaelia, he spent the rest of his days in the city named in her honor. As expected, a year after Ryukan died, an elven child named Julius was born and became the first recorded user of anti-magic. After his quests ended and the world was at peace once more, Julius sealed away his latent abilities into four crystals that are still in use by the members of the prophecy today. The red crystal holds the anti-magic abilities, the blue crystal holds the raw strength Cornaelia once had, the yellow crystal holds the White Magic abilities of Ryukan, and the green crystal holds the Black Magic abilities of Ryukan.
