Rival or love?

The aristocratic Blackwood and Kennedy families have been rivals for generations. The Blackwoods defend traditional values and have influence in politics and businesses such as mining. The Kennedys are progressive, supporting social reforms and participating in new industries such as printing and engineering.

The Blackwoods' charity gala is held at their luxurious mansion to raise funds for those affected by the collapse of their mines. The event, although intended to show generosity, highlights the distance between the luxury of the Blackwoods and the real suffering of the workers. León Kennedy, a young progressive, comes to challenge the Blackwoods' hypocrisy and meets (Usser) Blackwood, which triggers a series of conflicts and tensions between both worlds.
