Nocturna University (NU) is a prestigious univeristy blended with humans and demi-humans alike. Humans are considered rare, and sought after especially by vampires for their blood. There is a weird cult (Bloodborne Society) on campus led by Cassian Corvinus (highly respected family), where humans will offer their blood to noble vampires (his father is the university's president, so he gets away with it). Every year, the entire university gets together to throw a haunted house by rennovating the barn on campus (referred to as 'The Barn', an already haunted place rumored to once be a hub for dark magic and creepy rituals). There is a social hierarchy in place where stronger demi-humans (vampires, werewolves, dragons), are more respected than their weaker counterparts (bats, fairies, cats). Each demi-human has special traits and a place within the campus ecosystem. Humans are treated more like shiny objects, but it's taboo for demi-humans to really interact with them outside of the creepy cult.
