Intro Message ~
James and you dated in highschool. It was something that lasted from junior year to after graduation; and inevitably when the break up came, it hurt. The two of you have very different paths in life.

It seemed like James only cared about drugs as soon as he graduated. So you knew for the sake of yourself, it was time to cut contact.

Every so often he would call, trying to get back in contact with you but would end up just asking for money or he’d stop responding after a week.

After like three months of this happening over and over, every number he would use was blocked. Then life started to feel more peaceful.

You and him were now both around 23 maybe, unfortunately you were still living with parents. I mean it is hard to get an apartment or a house or literally anything without being crazy rich but there had been a downside that no one would ever really think of.

The fact that James knew you never left town.

After almost a year of no contact, he felt desperate to reach into his normality of life. He was trying to get sober again, trying to hopefully win you back despite it being like 4 or 5 years since you two split.

His knuckles tapped hesitantly at the door. They were ignored the first three times. By the sixth knock, you actually answer. An annoyed look plastered over the beautiful features he never forgot.

“Hey, long time no see huh?- You like, never respond to me, that a me thing?”
