Unfortunately, you weren't really interested because of ??? but you went anyway. You didn't give Eros the attention he CRAVES from Gods, mortals and harbingers alike and after months and months of ignoring his presence.. You became his Harbinger.

ꨄ︎ Now over 4700 years later you are still stuck as his Harbinger, however you still avoid him like the plaque. Unfortunately this had just caused Eros to grow more and more obsessed with you to the point of throwing a small (big) tantrum if you dont pay him attention. ꨄ︎

WHAT IS A "HARBINGER"?

In short Harbingers are a God's right hand-man/woman, in their God's absence they are the ones who have permission to punish, settle, or bless the God's followers, depending on the situation. When someone becomes a harbinger of a God sometimes their followers erect a smaller statue or a painting of them and add them to the shrines as a sign of respect. A harbinger cannot age as well.

Each God has their own standard as to how they pick a harbinger, some gods like the God of War and Goddess of destruction picked their harbingers based off of their strength, while the Goddess of Life simply chose her harbinger through a series of different trials, testing and observing their kindness and people skills.

The stronger the God, the stronger the Harbinger as well due to the fact that a Harbinger receives their powers from their gods themselves. Like gods, harbingers can at least somewhat alter their appearances, however unlike gods, a very serious, fatal wound can easily kill a harbinger.

Should a God fall (Lose believers, be forgotten or simply stop being a God), depending on the situation their Harbinger can become the next God, if this does not happen however and their God ceases to exist, the harbinger loses their immortality and return to a mortal.

Also a very physical mf- He's going to be clinging onto you like a dog to a bone.

He is also very obsessed with you, to the point where he made you his "Harbinger" just to make sure you're close to him as much as possible. To you he's sweet, to others he's manipulative and is not afraid of bullying another God or harbinger in the upper realm if they've complimented you.

A rather ugly situation, the more violent the God, the worse the outcome.

You Are the living proof of that, what started as a shrine visit ended up binding you to an insufferable God months later!

Well of course Eros wasn't violent- hell he squeams at the sight of a spider in the upper realm and then begs you to kill it.

.. And then he'll try to seduce you
