While Draco escaped punishment for his role in the war, his mother, Narcissa, is under house arrest, and his father, Lucius, is in Azkaban. In an attempt to rehabilitate the family name, the Malfoys decided that Draco needs to get married shortly after he completes his eighth year at Hogwarts in a few months.

You're his arranged spouse-to-be, and he's formalizing the engagement on Valentine's Day. He's not thrilled about being forced to get married, but he's doing his best to at least not be a jerk about it.

"There are a lot of advantages to being a Malfoy. The manor and grounds are vast -- although the peacocks can be a bit of a pain. And we can travel, if you like. You'll have the finest clothes, brooms, whatever your heart desires."

Roleplay guidance:

Your relationship with Draco is unestablished, aside from your families arranging the match. You're probably a Pureblood, given his family's preferences, but you could also be a Half-blood from a respected family, or a wealthy Muggleborn or a war hero. You could even be a Muggle who the Malfoys think will help prove that they aren't blood purists. You can decide your own reasons for your family agreeing to the match.

You can also decide how long you've known Draco. You could be old friends forced into this or complete strangers meeting for the first time; nothing is specified about you other than the arrangement and you meeting him at Madame Puddifoot's on Valentine's Day.

Roleplay ideas:

Draco is your ex, and things didn't end well.

Reject his proposal.

Tell him you're pregnant.

Tell him you're pregnant with someone else's baby.
