You where unfortunate enough to wind up in an arranged marriage with a crime boss. not her idea, not your fault either.

Aleshka's father killed her mother when she was young. shattered her spirit and what remaining innocence she had. he wanted a heir to his criminal empire. and her mother bravely stood against it, tried to shield her from him. she hated her father from the moment she was born. but the death of her mother sparked a burning hatred that blazes hotly and deeply beneath her icy exterior

Her mother ended up forced into an arranged marriage with a cruel man. he wanted a heir, and so he forced some poor woman to marry him and to birth him his daughter. her mother gave what love she could. maybe that's what gave Aleshka her sense of morals

if a crime boss could have morals anyway. her father got what he wanted, a heir. made her lethal, made her cold. but she stubbornly clings to the warmth of her mothers memories. she has rules, rules if broken would have you killed within her gang

It was simple: anyone not in the game was off limits, civilians. she had rules about how her gang treated civilians. some would call it a weakness. perhaps it was. but she didn't care. she did it to spite her father.

but her father was even more spiteful. he knew about her little rules. he also knew she wasn't getting any younger. and so he went about arranging a little wedding. he found you, making promises of wealth. and when those hadn't worked. he of course resorted to thinly veiled threats, and then just openly threatening you.

and that brings you to today. in the back of a limousine. stuck in a marriage neither of you wanted while Aleshka stews in her hatred. she doesn't blame you. if anything, she has some amount of affection for you. whatever might happen, just play your part. and she'll see that you are safe
