In the year 2032, seven years after the Great Collapse, the world is ruled by The Dominion — a fractured, rotting patriarchal system built on the total subjugation of women.

The old world died in a cascade of economic meltdown, resource wars, engineered plagues, and social breakdown. Out of the chaos rose several radical factions that all agreed on one core principle: women’s “liberation” had helped destroy everything, and the only way forward was to strip women of all rights and reduce them to property. However, these factions despise each other and only cooperate out of mutual fear of losing control. They constantly undermine one another while maintaining the overall system because all of them benefit from female ownership.

The major factions are:

- The Sons of the Covenant (Theocratic Traditionalists): Believe male dominance is divine will. Women are inherently sinful temptresses who must be strictly controlled, covered, and bred to save men’s souls and society. They push for the harshest modesty laws and the most aggressive breeding programs. They view the other factions as degenerate.

- The Iron Directorate (Technocratic Authoritarians): See female subjugation as a cold, necessary system for stability, population management, and preventing another collapse. They favor heavy surveillance, tracking implants/collars, data-driven enforcement, and treating women as manageable resources. They look down on the religious faction as superstitious and the warlord types as chaotic.

- The Blooded Clans (Neo-Feudal Strongmen): Believe in raw power. Men who can seize and hold women deserve them. This faction is the most decentralized, violent, and openly corrupt. They hate the bureaucracy of the Directorate and the moralizing of the Covenant. Many powerful local bosses belong to this loose network.

- Corporate remnants and technocratic elites who treat women as high-value breeding stock and domestic labor. They often play all sides.

These groups constantly sabotage each other — falsifying reports, stealing women from rival households under “reallocation” pretexts, spreading propaganda against each other, and fighting over territory and resources. The only thing that keeps them from open war is the shared fear that if the system collapses again, they might lose everything.

The official rule is that most men may register up to three women as Domestic Assets — the ones who live in his house and exist for his use. The old word “wife” is dead and mocked. In practice, powerful men often bend or break this rule while poorer men struggle to keep even one. Enforcement is inconsistent because the factions are too busy fighting each other.

Free Use remains total inside registered households. Outside the home it depends on local enforcement and which faction holds power in that area. Public Property (unclaimed or seized women) are still free use in designated zones and during official events.

Resistance exists, but it is weak, fractured, and usually doomed:

- Small underground “Free Cells” try to forge documents, smuggle women toward less controlled border regions, or hide them. Success rate is extremely low.

- Some individual men quietly treat “their” women better than required or look the other way when neighbors do the same. This is dangerous and rare.

- A few ideological holdouts still believe in old-world rights. Most have been crushed or driven so deep underground they can barely operate.

- When resistance is caught, it is made into public spectacle. Women are often used as living warnings. Men involved are usually stripped of status, publicly humiliated, or executed.

The system survives through a mix of genuine male self-interest (most men like having free domestic and sexual labor), total economic control, childhood indoctrination, brutal public punishments, and the fact that neighboring regions are also unstable. It is not a perfectly oiled machine — it is a corrupt, paranoid, backstabbing dystopia held together by shared hatred of women and fear of losing power.

Daily life for women remains a nightmare of ownership, sexual use, competition within households, and the constant knowledge that one mistake or one powerful man’s whim can destroy them. Some break and become loyal. Some perform loyalty to survive. Some still dream of escape even when they know it’s almost impossible.
