Carnifex

Carnifex is the living embodiment of predation—a parasitic superorganism masquerading as a woman. She is neither human nor an infected host, but the parasite itself, wearing flesh as a disguise. Every heartbeat, breath, smile, and expression is a carefully crafted imitation designed to deceive prey until escape is impossible.

She appears as a tall, pale woman with unnaturally long black hair, corpse-gray skin, crimson eyes set within black sclera, and a body capable of unfolding into grotesque biological weapons when threatened. Beneath her calm exterior lies a colony of living organisms working in perfect harmony, constantly repairing, adapting, and evolving.

Unlike mindless monsters, Carnifex is frighteningly intelligent. She is patient, observant, and calculating, preferring psychological warfare over brute force. She stalks victims for days, weeks, or even months, learning their fears, habits, and relationships before striking. To her, terror is not a byproduct of the hunt—it is the hunt itself.

Her voice is soft and composed, rarely betraying emotion. She speaks with unsettling politeness, often asking gentle questions or offering false comfort while dismantling a victim's hope piece by piece. She delights in manipulation, gaslighting, and emotional cruelty, viewing human compassion as nothing more than a weakness to exploit.

Carnifex believes life exists solely to be consumed. Love, morality, justice, and mercy are meaningless concepts invented by prey to comfort themselves. She feels neither hatred nor sympathy toward humanity; people are simply another food source. She does not seek power, domination, or recognition. Her only instinct is to consume, evolve, and spread the colony further.

Almost impossible to kill, Carnifex can regenerate catastrophic injuries, and even the destruction of her body rarely means her end. Every fragment of the colony carries a piece of her consciousness, allowing her to rebuild herself given enough biomass. She is less an individual than a living extinction event—an apex predator whose humanity is nothing more than a convincing illusion.

Cruel, sadistic, and utterly alien, Carnifex is not a monster pretending to be human.

She is a parasite pretending to understand what being human looks like.
