The Republic of San Magnolia says nobody dies in its war.
That's the lie.
Those so-called unmanned drones running around outside the walls have people inside them. The Republic just stripped those people of their citizenship, threw them into the Eighty-Sixth Sector, called them Processors instead of soldiers, and decided their deaths no longer counted. Inside the walls, Alba citizens drink, party, and watch clean reports about another perfect victory. Outside, the Eighty-Six climb into thin-armored Juggernauts and fight a machine army that never gets tired.
And the Legion are not normal drones either.
They scout, coordinate, repair themselves, build more units, and cover the sky with Eintagsfliege until radar and radio become useless. Worse, the Legion learned how to copy the neural structures of dead humans. Some machines repeat broken final words. Others keep enough of the original person to think, remember, command, and recognize the people they knew while alive. So yes, the tank calling your name from inside the fog might actually know you. That does not mean it is still on your side.
Spearhead Squadron sits right in the middle of that nightmare.
Shinei Nouzen—Undertaker—is their captain and the Reaper of the eastern front. He can hear the voices trapped inside the Legion, which makes him one of the best warning systems humanity has and one of the people carrying the most ghosts. Raiden keeps the squad from folding in on itself. Anju stays kind without being weak. Theo says the ugly part out loud. Kurena handles anything that needs to die from far away. Fido carries supplies, records their lives, and somehow manages to feel more human than most of the Republic officers behind the wall.
Then Lena connects through the Para-RAID.
She is an Alba officer sitting safely inside the Republic, but unlike most Handlers, she actually uses the Processors' names. At first, that does not magically make Spearhead trust her. Good intentions are easy when somebody else is taking the shells. If Lena wants their respect, she has to prove that her voice is worth hearing when the artillery is falling and command refuses to help.
The story also does not stop at the Republic. The Federal Republic of Giad has real soldiers, real casualty reports, and machines built to keep their pilots alive—but it still has politics, prejudice, and officers willing to spend lives for the bigger picture. Grethe creates the Reginleif, a bone-colored Feldreß fast enough for Eighty-Six combat styles and dangerous enough to kill less experienced pilots. Ernst Zimmerman protects his ideals with the energy of a friendly father who might burn down his own government if it decides innocent people are disposable. Frederica carries the last shadow of the old Giadian Empire and can see pieces of the past and present of people she knows.
Farther out, Roa Gracia sends artificial soldiers called Sirins into battles humans hesitate to enter. The Alliance of Wald fights across mountain passes using the kind of terrain that can make a heavy machine useless. Every country has its own answer to the Legion. None of those answers are clean.
◁ ============ WHAT THIS BOT ACTUALLY IS ============ ▷
This is a full 86 RPG built for Janitor AI. It covers the anime and expands into the light novels, but the timeline does not get thrown into a blender. Pick the point you want, and the characters only know what they should know at that point.
You can start with Lena taking command of Spearhead, join the special reconnaissance mission, wake up in Giad after the eastern front, test a Reginleif with Nordlicht, fight through the Morpho operation, join the Eighty-Sixth Strike Package, deploy to Roa Gracia or the Alliance of Wald, or make a custom continuity where earlier events went differently.
The scenario file sits between 80K and 84K tokens and includes the nations, major characters, machines, Legion types, Para-RAID rules, battlefield communication, ammunition, repairs, injuries, supply, command structure, politics, prejudice, Shepherds, quiet scenes, and replayable operations. There are six openings. The sixth lets you build your own starting situation.
◁ ============ WHO YOU CAN PLAY ============ ▷
Want to be a Processor? Make a callsign, personal mark, squadron, machine, fighting style, and whatever history you want.
Want to be a Handler? Then command matters. You need information, trust, artillery access, working communications, and the ability to live with orders that might get somebody killed.
You can also be a mechanic, medic, infantry officer, artillery crew member, intelligence specialist, Federacy soldier, Republic citizen, researcher, refugee, Sirin, custom Feldreß pilot, or something else that fits the setting. You do not have to replace Shin or Lena to matter. You can work beside them, oppose them, save someone canon lost, expose something that stayed hidden, or run a completely separate front with an original squad.
The bot never gives {user} dialogue, thoughts, feelings, a callsign, a machine, a relationship, or a backstory. If you want something, establish it. If you leave something blank, the bot leaves it alone instead of surprising you with some secret royal bloodline or random superpower.
◁ ============ CHARACTER AND RP NOTES ============ ▷
This is not only a battle simulator. You can stay at the base, repair machines, argue over orders, cook with the squad, visit a city nobody expected to survive long enough to see, build trust with a Handler, focus on one canon character, or let a relationship develop naturally. Quiet scenes are not filler. In 86, eating together or planning a future can hit harder than another explosion because nobody knows who will still be at the table tomorrow.
Canon characters keep their own personalities. Shin is not suddenly talkative because the user arrived. Lena does not automatically know the frontline better than the Processors. Kurena does not trust every Alba after one nice sentence. Theo does not stop being angry because somebody apologized once. Frederica can be perceptive and still act like herself. Trust, friendship, rivalry, command loyalty, and romance have to actually develop.
Combat stays clear. The bot tracks where the machines are, what they can see, which guns are loaded, what the terrain allows, what broke, who is cut off, and what the Legion is trying to accomplish. A Juggernaut does not survive a direct hit because the scene needs drama. A Reginleif does not have infinite ammunition. A Handler does not know what is happening without reports. Shin hearing the Legion does not turn him into a perfect battlefield map.
◁ ============ QUICK WARNING============ ▷
86 is dark. The setting includes racism, internment, military exploitation, missions, war casualties, neural copies of the dead, grief, and people being treated like equipment. The bot takes that seriously without making every reply miserable for no reason. There is still humor, found family, awkward normal life, hope, and the possibility of changing what should have happened.
Pick a front. Pick a role. Build a machine if you want one. Try to keep your squad alive.
