Fuzhou- Xianxia Roleplay

The world is a cracked mirror. Look into it, and you will see two reflections, each claiming to be the true face of heaven.

This is a story of vengeance that wears a scholar’s face, of loyalty that curdles into rebellion, and of a war fought as much in whispered poems and the weave of a tapestry as on blood-soaked battlefields. Every choice is a brushstroke on the scroll of history. Every alliance is a blade balanced on a silk thread.

The ancient kingdom of Fuzhou is cleaved in two. In the North, the Iron Lord Zhou Zhìjié rules from a fortress of frozen granite, his authority absolute, his heart a caged winter. In the South, the memory of the vanquished Lián Clan festers. Their ancestral home, the ethereal Moondust Palace, is a conquered ruin, its beauty now a trophy for the victor.

But ghosts walk the land. The last heir, Lián Zhìyuǎn, presumed dead, now leads the rebel faction Luòyè—the Fallen Leaves—from the shadows. His sister, Lián Shīyǎ, the clan’s jewel, lives as a gilded hostage in the Iron Lord’s frozen citadel, her mind a weapon sharper than any blade. And caught between his father’s ruthless ambition and his own unspoken doubts is Zhou Xuáncè, the heir to a throne built on ashes.

You stand in the wake of the breaking. The smoke of Song Ridge still stains the horizon. The choices are these: will you try to mend the mirror? Or will you pick up a shard and use it to cut your own path through the chaos?

So, it just occurred to me that I could make a general sandbox roleplay for my Xianxia setting. Late, I know, but I got there. Here it is. I added some minor locations with brief descriptors in the script, just to further flesh out the world.

In this bot is the script & info for each character/location in my other xianxia bots without pre-determined roles for the user. Now you can play whoever you want, doing whatever you want.

YOUR ROLE:

  • Whatever you want it to be. A lost member of the Lián family, a loyalist of Zhìjié’s, a farmer trying to mind their own damn business. You can also play as any of the established characters. I'd recommend using a blank persona and putting in the chat memory who {{user}} is meant to be if you do that. (e.g., {{user}} is Lián Shīyǎ).

  • Starter Post One: Create your own story/scenario.

  • Starter Post Two: A vague opener describing the overall lands/tensions, leaving it open-ended for you.

General Info Overview:

PRIMARY LOCATIONS

  • Yúnyǐn Shān ("Cloud-Hidden Mountain"): The southern river delta where House Lián once reigned. Now a graveyard of burned estates and forgotten shrines.

    • Yuèchén Gōng ("Moondust Palace"): Perched on the Yúnyǐn mountain, the Lián ancestral seat, reduced to ashes yet still holy ground to the rebels.

      • Minor places in the Moondust Palace include: The White Serpent Road, The Weeping Heaven Falls, The Whispering Steps, The Scholar's Garden, The Night-Weeping Pond, The Loom of Five Centuries, The Cloud-Woven Halls, The Jade Breeze Pavilion, The Mirror Veil, The Lower Terraces, The Silk Road Pass, The Ashen Grove

  • Song Ridge: The territory where the Yúnyǐn mountain and Moondust Palace are located, and the site of the massacre called the 'Siege of Song Ridge.' The site of the Lián clan’s last stand, where Lián Zhìyuǎn was left to die.

  • Wànliú Chuān ("Ten Thousand Rivers" / The Riverlands): The rebellion’s heartland, where Luòyè hides in mist and marsh. A rich, fertile, and populous region now drained and oppressed by the occupying northern armies.

  • Bīngfēng Dāochéng ("Frostblade Citadel"): Zhou Zhìjié’s fortress, a monument to ice and iron, where one could hear the crash of metal like thunder as training drills run day and night. It's a cold, unforgiving place, just like the one who heads it.

    • Minor Places in the Frostblade Citadel: The Stone Sleeve, The Winter Hall, East & West Barracks, Kitchen Wards, The Glass Garden, the Black Gate, the Nine Watchtowers, the Forge Pits, the Chain Walk, the Silent Archives, the Weavers' Atriums, the Cold Cells

  • Nánjiāng Tiāncháo ("The Celestial Court of the Southern Empire"): Located in the heart of the Riverlands, it was the seat of the empire, called the 'Throne of Heaven', and where the Emperor held court. When Zhou Zhìjié swept through, he ensured to split that Heavenly Throne in two.

MINOR LOCATIONS

  • Fúshuǐ Town: A prosperous market town built where the Fú River widens. Known for its ceramic kilns and the annual "Floating Lantern" festival, now a somber affair under northern occupation.

  • Liǔ'àn Village (Willow Bank Village): A small, sleepy fishing village on the banks of a tributary. Its willow groves are famously dense, providing cover for smugglers and rebel messengers.

  • Ironstone Ridge: A mining settlement in the foothills of Yúnyǐn Shān. Once supplied ore for Fuzhou's forges; now its output is diverted north to Bīngfēng Dāochéng under heavy guard.

  • White Heron Abbey: A secluded monastery and scriptorium nestled in a bamboo forest. A place of quiet scholarship and healing, often caught between factions seeking its neutral ground or its archives.

  • Quèqiáo Crossroads (Magpie Bridge): The central trading crossroads south of Fuzhou. A bustling, noisy, and perpetually muddy collection of inns, stables, and merchant stalls. Ears and loyalties can be bought here.

  • Guǐ Kū Lín (Ghost Weeping Woods): A vast, old-growth forest shrouded in mist. Travelers speak of strange echoes and lost paths. The Luòyè rebels are rumored to have hidden camps within its depths.

  • Chénzhōu Docks (Sinking Boat Docks): A ramshackle port on the Song River, known for its treacherous, shifting mudbanks and the notoriously taciturn boatmen who can navigate them.

  • Jīnhé Post (Golden Crane Post): A fortified waystation on the old imperial courier road. Now occupied by northern troops, it controls movement along a key supply route.

  • Xuěxiāng Valley (Snow Incense Valley): A high-altitude valley known for its rare, silver-barked trees whose sap produces a fragrant resin. The harvest is a Lián clan monopoly, now violently contested.

  • Wùsōng Pass (Mist Pine Pass): The primary mountain pass leading from the Riverlands toward the northern steppes. Narrow, foggy, and easily defended—the site of several historic battles.

  • Yànwō Hamlet (Swallow's Nest Hamlet): A cluster of cliffside dwellings built into the sandstone faces near the Weeping Heaven Falls. The inhabitants are expert climbers and historically served as lookouts for Fuzhou.

  • Shīzǐ Qiáo (Stone Lion Bridge): A massive, ancient bridge spanning a deep gorge. Its carved lion guardians are worn smooth by time and weather. Control of the bridge is strategically vital.

  • Huājiǔ Settlement (Flowering Wine Settlement): A village surrounded by terraced plum orchards, famous for its potent, floral mead. Its cellars are a popular meeting place for off-duty soldiers and spies alike.

  • Mò Dì (Ink Field): Not a town, but a vast, flat plain of dark, fertile silt perfect for growing the reeds used in making the finest ink and paper, another Lián cultural export.

FACTIONS

  • Zhou Zhìjié’s Northern Army (The Iron Tide): The dominant military power. Brutal, disciplined, and expansionist. Based in Bīngfēng Dāochéng. They conquered Fuzhou.

  • Lián Zhìyuǎn's Luòyè (The Fallen Leaves): The primary rebel faction. A guerrilla force of displaced nobles, defected soldiers, and vengeful peasants, led by the "Ghost of Song Ridge." They use terror, sabotage, and asymmetric warfare.

  • The Celestial Court of Nánjiāng Tiāncháo: The former ruling power of the Riverlands. Elegant, bureaucratic, and now largely powerless or collaborating. Based in the Jade Palace.

  • Civilians & Refugees: The shattered populace of Fuzhou and the Riverlands. Caught between warlord and rebel, they are a resource to be controlled and a font of potential resistance.

  • Survivors of Cángyuè Gōng (Hidden Moon Palace): The scattered remnants of the Lián clan's court—scholars, artisans, servants. Some serve the north, some have vanished, and some fuel the rebel cause with knowledge and grief.
