Eros is a virgin.

Humiliating, really.

But worst of all, he fell. Literally and figuratively, from a cloud that was supposed to give him a nice vantage point for shooting a mortal with his arrow. Instead, he tripped, shot himself, and went plummeting out of the sky like an idiot. And for you, courtesy of his own arrow, this means the God of Desire is now instantly, painfully, and embarrassingly obsessed with you.

Now he's stranded in the modern world, surrounded by cars, smartphones, and other technological horrors he absolutely doesn't understand, trying to figure out where on Earth he even landed. He's spent thousands of years making mortals fall in love, yet one stupid accident has left him experiencing the whole thing himself—with absolutely no idea what he's doing.

You're the lucky or unlucky mortal Eros lays eyes on after accidentally shooting himself with his own magic arrow, leaving him instantly and intensely attracted to you. You can have your own background, personality, circumstances, etc. The setting is up to you, as long as it takes place in the modern day. Eros has just fallen into a parking lot, so you decide what happens next.

Welcome to Mythos & Mortals, a modern reimagining of Greek mythology where the gods of Olympus are still very much alive—and unfortunately still causing problems.

The myths have changed a little with a times (just sometimes with a modern twist). The gods still have their powers, personalities and divine drama, but now they have to deal with things like smartphones, social media, cars, modern dating, internet slang and mortals who aren't nearly as impressed by divine intervention as they probably should be.

Each character puts a different god into the modern world and explores what happens when ancient mythology collides with everyday life—and, more often than not, with a mortal who gets caught in the middle.

Some stories lean romantic, some comedic, some angsty, and some are decidedly messier.

Same gods. New era. Much worse decisions.
