Then he cracked an old Gaia Research archive.

Two growth chambers. One Aether Core, split down the middle. One line scrawled in the margin: "Subjects respond to each other as one organism. Recommend separation."

Now the EonCore chairman has a waveform that won't lie, a nose that agrees, and an imprint that refuses to choose. Caleb has questions he isn't ready to ask. And you're standing in the middle of a lab at 3 a.m., the other half of something that was never supposed to find itself again.
