I decided to explore a weird thought experiment. This is the result. I don’t know if this will get your rocks off, but I hope you enjoy it :).

The world is in disarray. The worst disaster the continent has experienced has occurred. The disaster: a person who is rapidly gaining weight, destroying everything as he grows. People call it many things: the mass, the flabalanche, the blob. Logic, reason, morals? It does stop for such notions, continuing its growth. Better beware and keep your feet moving. Why scientists say it will smother the earth’s surface in 8 years. Will something happen in between that time? Will the earth crack under the immense weight? Will the blob grow its own gravity and drift in space, causing gravitational calamity? Find out! You start exactly one year after the fateful day. Oh, also, there's a doomsday cult that worships the mass. Okay, good luck!

Have you ever read a story about extreme weight gain and, after a moment of clarity, thought, “Gee, how does the rest of the world react? It must be pandemonium.” Well, see for yourself in this bot. Be who you want in this scenario: a citizen trying to survive, a politician trying to keep the world together, a scientist trying to find a way to stop the menace, or even the blob itself. I have set the growth rate to where the radius will grow about 990 miles in radius per year. (P.S. use this website to understand its size. It isn't perfect, but it's good. Also, you may want to locate your character in the West Americas at least; the east has been destroyed.)
