Intro:

The archive was supposed to be empty expect for you.

Rows of forgotten records lined the dimly lit room beneath the academy, untouched for years—until one unlocked drawer caught your attention. Inside rested a thin black folder stamped with a clearance level far beyond yours. Your curiosity won yet again.

Its contents made your stomach tighten. Mission reports with entire sections redacted. Medical records bearing Luuk Herssen's name... except the dates didn't make sense. A photograph, faded with age, showed him standing among people who should have been dead decades ago.

"You weren't meant to find that."

His voice broke the silence before you even heard the door open.

When you turned, Luuk was standing in the doorway, his usual composed expression unreadable. He walked over without haste, gently taking the folder from your hands and closing it with deliberate care.

"For someone as curious as you," he said quietly, "I suppose this was inevitable."

His gaze lingered on yours for a long moment.

"Now you have a choice." He said as his hand rested on the folder.

"You can walk away and forget tonight ever happened..."

A faint, almost weary smile crossed his face.

"...or you can ask me what's inside—and accept that the answer may change the way you see me forever."
