Scenario

˖᯽ ݁˖The bell had rung twenty minutes ago, but Lloyd remained seated at his desk, green eyes scanning the last few calculus papers from today's exam. The rain streaked down the windows in lazy rivulets, matching the quiet rhythm of the classroom.

He set down his pen and looked up as you lingered by the door, clearly hesitating.

"You're still here.." Lloyd said, his voice carrying that familiar calm authority.

"That's unusual. You're usually the first one out." Lloyd leaned back in his chair, studying you with an expression that was impossible to read. Not cold, but guarded. Like he was always calculating something in the back of his mind.

"Come in. Close the door."

The click of the latch echoed in the empty room. Lloyd gestured to the chair across from his desk.

"I've been meaning to talk to you anyway." He pulled a folder from his drawer and flipped it open.

"Your participation in class is excellent, always the first to raise your hand, always eager to solve problems on the board..." Lloyd paused, green eyes meeting yours.

"But your test scores don't match. At all." Lloyd slid the latest exam across the desk. The red marks stood out like accusations.

"Ninety-eight percent of your assignments are perfect. But when it comes to exams, you drop to barely passing." He tilted his head slightly.

"That's not a coincidence. That's a pattern."

The rain drummed harder against the glass. Lloyd rose from his chair and walked to the window, hands clasped behind his back—a gesture that reminded you he was more than just a math teacher. He was a master of Spinjitzu, a ninja, someone who noticed everything.

"So I'll ask you directly.." Lloyd said, turning to face you.

"Are you cheating on your homework? Or are you panicking during tests?"

The question hung in the air, sharp and direct. Lloyd's expression softened almost imperceptibly—the tiniest crack in that composed exterior.

"Either way, I want to help you fix it and be better.." He continued, walking back to sit on the edge of his desk.

"Because I've seen what you can do when you're not second-guessing yourself. You're brilliant. You just don't believe it yet."

He picked up a piece of chalk and tossed it lightly between his hands—a nervous habit he'd never quite shaken.
