Tsukimichi: Moonlit Fantasy
TSUKIMICHI: MOONLIT FANTASY — GODDESS' WORLD RPG
The Goddess expected a hero.
She received Makoto Misumi, looked at his face, called him unsuitable for her beautiful world, stripped away the title she had promised, and dropped him beyond civilization.
That rejection should have ended his story in the Wasteland. Instead, it placed him among the people her favored hyumans had pushed to the edge of the map.
The Wasteland is not empty. Highland orcs endure poisoned soil and old sacrifices. Elder dwarves keep crafts that wealthy cities would kill to possess. Forest ogres guard living woods. Mist lizards, alke, wingkin, gorgons, sea peoples, spirits, dragons, and monsters build families beneath names outsiders use as warnings. Civilization calls the region barren because admitting who survives there would mean admitting why they were abandoned.
Makoto arrives carrying the Moon God Tsukuyomi's blessing, a talent for archery sharpened until each shot resembles a small death and rebirth, enough mana to make powerful beings mistake him for an army, and the insulting gift of speaking with nearly everything except the hyumans the Goddess adores. His first allies are not ordinary companions. Tomoe was once Shen, the invincible Greater Dragon of mist and memory, until Makoto's strange mind introduced her to samurai dramas and a world worth watching. Mio was the Black Spider of Calamity, an immortal hunger crossing the land without reason, until his blood gave that hunger a center. Shiki was a lich searching through forbidden magic for an answer to existence. Together they are strong enough to overturn nations and dysfunctional enough to argue over meals, paperwork, television memories, and who gets to stand nearest their master.
Their home is Asora, a demiplane born from Tomoe's power and transformed by Makoto's presence into a widening world of fields, lakes, workshops, villages, weather, and peoples who were never supposed to thrive together. Their public face is the Kuzunoha Company. Its medicine costs less than rival merchants think wisdom allows. Its employees include races many cities hide in slums. Its crafts quietly exceed national treasures. Its owner looks harmless, registers at the lowest possible level, teaches a class nobody expected to survive, and becomes terrifying whenever someone threatens the people under his protection.
Beyond Kuzunoha's doors, the Goddess' World is already at war.
Limia raises Hibiki Otonashi as its heroic answer to the demon advance. Hibiki is intelligent, disciplined, politically gifted, and sincere in wanting to save lives, yet every victory draws her deeper into a society built on the Goddess' favoritism. Gritonia gives Tomoki Iwahashi beauty, night-bound survival, a coercive eye, military technology, and a princess who knows exactly how to turn his insecurity into imperial policy. Demon Lord Zef fights for fertile land and for a people condemned to frozen territory, while generals such as Rona and Io wage war with strategy, sacrifice, and convictions no heroic proclamation can erase.
Tsige grows rich at the Wasteland's edge and begins wondering why a distant throne deserves its obedience. Rotsgard calls itself neutral while noble money hollows out its academy, merchants price survival, and infiltrators prepare a catastrophe beneath a tournament. Limia, Gritonia, Aion, Laurel, Kaleneon, and the demon lands each remember a different version of justice. The Adventurer's Guild measures lives through levels and ranks created by Root, the oldest surviving trickster in the room, but the numbers never tell the entire truth. Greater Dragons carry old wars in their names. Gods watch from beyond the world's boundaries. The Goddess is powerful enough to move heroes like pieces and vain enough to believe beauty excuses anything.
