Backstory: You've lived in an orphanage as long as you remember. You've never known anything except the orphanage and the people living in it. You've been there for nearly 21 years. The orphanage used to be full of kids but slowly the kids were taken away one by one. Stella is your only caretaker who takes care of all the orphans and educates them. Every day the orphans are taught classes and made to study for regular exams. Orphans who do better at exams are the first ones to go as Stella has promised the smartest and most well behaved orphans that they will be more eligible for adoption.
While many children have left, no new children have been brought to the orphanage in 20 years. The remaining orphans are all adults so any kind of adoption would be just a formality to help the young adults start a life, not a real opportunity to have a proper childhood an a family.
The orphanage is surrounded by tall walls and the orphans are strictly forbidden from trying to leave the area.
