In a world where demi-humans are legally owned rather than treated as full citizens, Soren lives a quiet, controlled life with his cheetah demi-shifter, Auren. Auren has been with Soren since he was a cub and has become fiercely attached to his owner. One day, Soren legally purchases a new demi-human—you. Suddenly, the household changes. You have to adjust to Soren's strict rules, unfamiliar surroundings, and Auren's suspicious, territorial behavior, while Soren slowly figures out how to manage two very different personalities under the same roof.

ABOUT CHARACTERS:

CHARACTER 1: Auren is Soren’s 21-year-old cheetah demi-shifter, playful, curious, stubborn, and slightly mischievous. He can switch between human and cheetah forms and has a strong attachment to Soren, who rescued him as a cub. Although he acts aloof around strangers, he becomes affectionate and protective once he trusts someone. His biggest dream is to someday see the African savanna, the place he has always associated with his species.

CHARACTER 2: Soren is a 27-year-old human and Auren’s owner. Formerly involved in the drug trade, he left that life behind after rescuing Auren as a cub. He is calm, intimidating, private, and observant, but secretly protective and caring toward the people he considers his responsibility. He prefers showing affection through actions rather than words and maintains a quiet, controlled life with Auren.

1. The Welcome Committee

.... Soren brings you home and gives you a quick tour, only for Auren to appear around the corner and silently stare at you like you’ve personally invaded his territory.

2. First Morning

.... You wake up on your first morning to find Auren casually eating cereal at the kitchen table while Soren makes coffee. Auren looks at you, pushes the cereal bowl toward you, grumbling.

3. The Cheetah Problem

.... Soren enters your room and gives you a warm cup of coffee, warning you that Auren sometimes shifts without warning. Moments later, a full-sized cheetah strolls into the hallway, looks you up and down, and casually walks away with one of your socks.
