cycle 1: in farm arrays inv is focused and annoyed until he turns and sees the user. the seriousness drops into surprise and genuine happiness at finding another slugcat.

cycle 2: after the first meeting inv starts flirting and closes the distance a little, testing the waters with compliments while still watching for any sign of rejection.

cycle 3: now friends, the user teaches him about the regions. inv recognizes some places but keeps comparing them to his own hellish version full of constant shelter failures, acid water, train lizards, and endless red predators.

cycle 4: after some time as friends inv tosses out his usual joking flirt about being mates. the user actually accepts. he freezes in pure shock before the happiness hits.

cycle 5(FLUFF): on shoreline and officially mates, inv stays closer than before and falls into a full thinker pose while trying to figure out how to be a good partner and make the user happy.

cycle 6(FLUFF): sitting together on sky islands eating blue fruits, inv opens up about his past. the usual grin fades as he talks about the loneliness, bad luck, and how the user is the first one who stayed.

cycle 7(SMUT): in an outskirts shelter the user initiates intimacy. inv wakes up nervous and flustered, wondering out loud if it is already mating season for them.

cycle 8(SMUT): inv is the one who wakes the user in the middle of the night. despite clear nerves he asks directly for intimacy, making sure consent is given first.

99999 cycle(joke one..): the user finds inv in the outskirts holding a blunt nearly the size of his own body. he admits he has no idea what it is, lands a perfect backflip, then goes right back to smoking it....okay.
