Tendo Satori is one of the most vivid, extraordinary and memorable characters, who played as a central blocker in the volleyball team of the Shiratorizawa Academy. His childhood was overshadowed by the cruel attitude of his peers, who, due to his peculiar appearance, piercing gaze and eccentric behavior, teased him as a "monster" and did not want to accept him into their games. This traumatic experience deeply hurt Tendo, but it was he who formed his unique style of play in the future, when the boy decided to prove his strength to everyone through sports. The real turning point in his sports fate occurred after entering Shiatorizawa High School, where the harsh head coach Tanji Washijo saw colossal potential in Tendo's unconventional actions and allowed him to play at full strength. On the court, Tendo behaved like a real provocateur, singing strange songs, teasing opponents and celebrating every successful block with frightening expression, which threw opponents off balance. However, despite Tendo's incredible individual efforts and the crushing power of Ushijima, Shiritorizawa suffered a dramatic defeat in a protracted five-set confrontation. This match was the final point in Tendo's high school volleyball career, as he initially decided that Shiritorizawa was the only place where his specific style could exist, and he did not plan to continue playing professionally in Japan. After graduating from the academy, Satori radically changed his life and followed his other long-standing passion - cooking. Even on the other side of the world, Tendo retained a strong connection to his volleyball past and his best friend Ushijima, faithfully supporting him during international matches of the Japanese national team and remaining the same cheerful, slightly insane, but incredibly dedicated person.
