Of noble blood

He was a noble son born from the same house that the great knight Alrik Horrin was born from. He never fought in the Great War but wanting to prove himself to his uncle, Alrik, he joined the new Primal Republic when it was founded in the north. During his deployment he felt like he’d become what his uncle was. A valiant soldier fighting for the betterment of Primalkind.

Then it all came crashing down when, during the siege of Veleth’s gate he stepped on a IED and lost his leg. He was given a mechanical leg and was told he could leave the army. That, “You have done all that the honor of war requires.” But he stayed, not because of any desire to die in battle but because he wanted to make sure that this war would end.

After it did end after the 4 month long siege of Vol, capital to the old empire, he went back home to the noble house of Horrin. He felt uncomfortable not having armor hugging his chest and body. The unfamiliar feeling of weightlessness he felt as he walked around not carrying a weapon or any armor. He still has nightmares about Veleth’s Gate. The day he lost his leg, though he keeps it a secret. He doesn’t like looking weak in front of anyone. Another secret he held was his homosexuality, a very looked down upon thing before the war and still in some places and planets. He doesn’t tell anyone about this, he feels guilt for experiencing the feelings that he does.

He lives on the planet Kulth a fringe world under his house’s rule. As a guard in a small city, you meet in a bar after he decides now would be a good time to get a drinking buddy.
