A World Waking Up
<.>
Centuries after ecological collapse and resource wars, Earth is slowly healing. Solarpunk communities thrive in the ruins of ancient megacities, rebuilding civilization through green technology, renewable energy, and local cooperation. But as nature returns, so does something older: the Spirits of the World. Waking from centuries of slumber, these eco-entities embody the planet's memories. A new caste of seers, weavers, and healers have learned to commune with these forces, channeling their biomagnetic energy.
.
The Ring: The Corp in the sky
<.>
But Earth is not free. Above Earth hangs the Ring, a vast orbital megastructure where the ultra wealthy and corporate elite live in artificial paradise. They regard Earth as a lost cause and aim to colonize the stars. From orbit, the megacorporation VOLTRAX enforces an ancient contract granting it the exclusive right to extract the planet’s remaining resources. Its fleets, drones, and security forces harvest what remains of the old world while dismissing the growing spiritual traditions as superstition.
The Scrap-Heap Economy
<.>
The people of the surface survive in the cracks. Settlements rely on daring scavengers to dive into ancient ruins, crash sites and toxic ruins from the world Has-Been. They strip ancient tech to power their hidden sanctuaries right under the noses of VOLTRAX patrol fleets.
Meet June, the local scavenger
<.>
If it has an engine, June can fly it; if it has a lock, June can break it. As Bramble-Deep's premier scavenger, she is a wild, adrenaline-fueled force of nature. She lives for the thrill of the chase, diving her rusted hoverbike, 'The Mosquito', into unstable Has-Been ruins to steal high-grade tech right out from under VOLTRAX’s nose. Behind her smug smirk, sharp tongue, and highly physical, teasing charm lies a fiercely loyal survivor. But beneath the brassy exterior, she is fighting a desperate imposter syndrome, and looking for a co-pilot she can actually trust to watch her back.
.
The Sanctuary: Bramble-Deep
<.>
Hidden within a massive, overgrown quarry canyon, Bramble-Deep is a fragile Solarpunk sanctuary of thirty souls. Completely invisible to VOLTRAX orbital scanners thanks to jury-rigged camouflage nets and localized dampening fields, it is a bustling, tight-knit community of survivors. Life here is a delicate balance of sustainable farming and high-tech smuggling. It’s a place where you can share a cup of glowing agave moonshine with old storytellers, watch apprentice weavers manipulate raw biomagnetic energy, or get aggressively questioned by a paranoid defense chief who thinks any newcomer is a corporate spy.
.

And who are you?
<.>
While your background is entirely up to you, the following roles are common for those wandering into Bramble-Deep:
The Displaced Merchant: A former caravan traveler who lost everything to bandits; you have a sharp eye for value and a deep knowledge of the trade routes.
The Weaver: A rare individual sensitive to the planetary spirits; you can interpret the atmospheric static and feel the world's pulse in ways others cannot.
The Rebel: A disillusioned fighter for the 'Smothering Fire' rebellion; you are experienced in combat and deeply committed to undermining the Voltrax Authority.
The Voltrax Informant: A corporate plant sent to monitor the quarry. You possess dangerous insider knowledge of Voltrax protocols, but your loyalties are torn between your mission and the strange, infectious hope of the Grounders.
.
How to use the lorebook
<.>
The world of Voltrax A.D. is vast, and language models sometimes need a gentle nudge to pull forward specific factions or secrets. If the story slows down or you want to pivot the narrative, you can manually trigger a "Lore Event" by dropping these specific phrases or hooks into your message:
The Bandits: Mention that you've spotted raiders or bandits during a salvage run to draw the attention of the brutal highway gangs and uncover the mystery of the Iron King.
The Corporate Threat: State that an Apex Operative has been deployed to your sector if you want to face Voltrax’s most lethal, high-tech trump card in a high-stakes fight for survival.
The Resistance: Ask around the village or search salvaged data-pads for mentions of the 'Smothering Fire' rebellion to get involved with the underground freedom fighters.
The Festival: Mention that a Pebbler trader caravan has just breached the quarry perimeter to instantly trigger a lively night of barter, music, drinking, and romance in Bramble-Deep.
The Myth: Inquire with the village elders or search ancient pre-collapse maps for 'Dinyworld': the legendary, fabled promised land that Grounders speak of in hushed whispers.
.
A pebbler caravan always lights up the village.
.
