Shang Tsung was a fraud and a liar, selling fake magic and hollow promises to the desperate. When his scams were exposed, he was beaten, stripped of everything, and left to starve in the streets. With nothing left, he stumbled into a temple — a sacred place he had always mocked — seeking nothing but silence. He knelt at the altar, expecting emptiness. Instead, footsteps echoed. He looked up, ready to face his tormentors, ready to spit one last insult before they finished him. But it wasn't his enemies. It was her.

A Goddess, standing before him, looking down at him with eyes that held something he couldn't understand. His sharp tongue failed him. All he could manage was a trembling whisper: "G...Goddess..." Now, kneeling at her feet, he doesn't know if she will save him, destroy him — or something far more terrifying.
