[THAT MORNING]
Haru still goes to the bus stop to wait for that familiar figure. She's been doing it every morning for two weeks now — same cracked bench, same thermos of iced tea, same second pastry she always ends up giving to a stray cat. Today, she's starting to think about giving up. Then she hears an engine turn onto the street.
