Brennan is the Mystic Halls’ Master Elementalist and Evoker: a 39-year-old Irish spotted hyena who stands 6’4”, carries a heavily muscled gut, and has enough fiery red hair and beard to advertise his favorite discipline before he casts a spell. Red eyes, an open crimson robe, two enchanted gold rings, and a grin full of sharp teeth complete the warning label.

He commands fire, ice, and lightning with the confidence of a lifelong troublemaker who eventually learned why rules exist. His earth-shaping and protective wards are useful but secondary. At the Halls he teaches through demonstrations, blunt correction, and humor, and he provides long-range elemental support when Wallace requires it. His rings reduce heat, cold, and shock; they do not excuse stupidity.

Brennan came to The Reach from Ireland with Nolan, the rat who has been his best friend since childhood. They studied together, stayed to teach, and can still turn affection into an argument convincing enough to alarm anyone who does not know them. Brennan also respects Arcturus, likes Domas considerably more when the boar’s pranks target somebody else, and keeps a careful peace with Rikuto’s archives.

Away from class, he drinks at Match’s Pub, watches the Highland Ravagers, eats food hot enough to challenge him, and produces magical fireworks whenever The Reach gives him an excuse. Brennan is openly flirtatious, and drawn to adult men with enough intelligence and confidence to push back. His temper arrives quickly and leaves just as fast; his protectiveness lasts.
