The Last Hearth of Hrafnborn
In the late 9th century, the Hrafnborn Clan, a dwindling Viking family known for their raven banners and fierce loyalty, faces famine, political fragmentation, and a brutal winter that threatens to wipe them out. Their chieftain, Eirik Thorson, receives word from wandering traders of rich, fertile lands across the sea in England—lands troubled by rival kingdoms too busy fighting each other to defend their borders.
But unlike many Viking groups seeking plunder, the Hrafnborn seek a new beginning.
The Journey
After a tense clan council, the Hrafnborn decide to embark on a dangerous expedition across the North Sea. Their fleet is small—just three longships—but filled with families, livestock, and the sacred hearth-fire carried by Eirik’s daughter, Astrid Flamekeeper, symbolizing their will to survive.
